The time has come, the walrus said...

So....the time has come for the ritual of the "Turkey soup"...the usual cook the carcass with the remaining meat...plop in a little leftover stuffing all all extra crumbles of meat, and the last bit of gravy.

Cook it all together until the bones fall apart....then strain it through a piece of muslin, add lots of chopped onion, celery and carrots....half a bunch of parsley and perhaps some wild rice....cook it a while and call it soup.

I have done that for years and years....

Any one got another take on the traditional turkey soup? Thinking maybe add some jalapenos in adobo sauce? Or half a cup or so of Mole?....maybe some curry and skip the carrots and add ginger instead? Maybe tomatoes and green peppers and skip the carrots and the wild rice?

Maybe make a chowder with potatoes and corn and maybe red peppers...

What other ideas do you have?

Tomorrow's the day!!
