I love Mad Men and have watched every episode. Part of the attraction is that I remember those days although I was a bit younger than say, Peggy. It is so interesting to me to watch the evolution of women in the workplace.

The smoking is hard to watch but the drinking is worse. It's mind boggling to think that smoking and drinking in the office used to be common and accepted.

I look forward to each episode although I wish they did not wait so long between seasons. I'll be sorry to see it end.

I watched a couple of episodes and might get back to it at some point. Good show, but it made me slightly uncomfortable because it's so realistic. I worked in Manhattan in those days, and had a lot of contact with ad agency people. I smoked, as we all did. And when I think about all the drinking we did at lunch, I wonder how we got any work done in the afternoons. Plus in some offices the vault opened at 5:00 p.m., and the liquor came out.

I can't imagine living like that today, so in a way it feels like I've led two lives--maybe more. "Mad Men" brings some of it back in a dramatic fashion--sometimes amusing, sometimes not.

The first season it was on I had not heard about it and was just flipping channels one night and was immediately drawn to the sets and clothes having grown up in the 50's and 60's. I was hooked and have watched since. I'm not even sure if I happened on the first episode or not and have meant to go back and see. Told DH I would watch it again with him...he was never interested. But he was never interested in Downton Abbey and I finally got him to watch it and he loves it. I will be sad when it ends next year. Any ideas on the ending? I have an idea but would be surprised if they do it.

We've watched all of the episodes and watched the (recorded) premier of this season yesterday afternoon.

I think it's a big mistake to draw this out over so much time. I can't 'place' the guy who replaced Don nor remember how Ken (?) lost his eye. I liked Don's flight seatmate saying her late husband died of thirst. (It was impossible to see her eyes under all that -- very authentic -- makeup.)

I appreciated the ending, with Don unable to escape into a bottle -- and unable to close his apartment's frozen-open sliders. He's put himself 'out in the cold', alone.

We shouted with glee to see Megan driving an Austin Healey 3000. (Mine was blue.) She even had a line about being unable to move the seat -- so true.

We had an Austin Healey Sprite back in the '60's,so it was fun to see an AH. Megan's outfit was right on for the times. I wonder if she will ever get those teeth fixed. They sure do go all over the place.

I can't remember the eye incident either. All I notice is that he wears the eye patch the wrong way. He has one elastic band going under his ear and it should go above. Makes me want to reach in the tv and move it!

One interesting note is that the fellow who plays Pete really does not have that receding hair line. I saw him on a talk show and he said he shaves it off so it looks like his hair is receding. You could see it growing back in and he really has a rather full head of hair!

I've watched it up and through season 6 on DVD. Can someone tell me what channel it's currently on? I'd like to watch it in real time if I can, or on demand for those I missed.Is it AMC?

I have never watched it, it does not sound like a show I would care for, sorry.
