Will this salmon/shrimp dish work?

I am making salmon topped with shrimp for our Christmas dinner for ten. Everybody is looking forward to not having turkey again!

Originally, I was planning on coarsely chopping the shrimp and mixing with butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon, dried basil, and some fresh Italian parsley, then spreading this over (farm raised) salmon sides.

Baking at 375 until almost done then sprinkling with panko and Parmesan and running under the broiler.

I need feedback on this. Any changes? Does this sound good to you?

It's basically shrimp scampi on top of salmon.

Here are the parameters: it must be prepared ahead ready to pop in the oven. Will do it that morning before traveling one hour to mil's.

Very little broiling too- can't set off smoke alarm at Mil's.

Very tiny kitchen and no counter space.

So, I can't cook anything on the stove top at all. Other dishes will be there.

I have already bought everything so I need any advice to make this excellent is greatly appreciated. I'm a good cook, btw.

One Question- should I cook salmon to almost done, then add shrimp topping and run under broiler? Or bake it all at one time?
