What Day Are You Having Your Easter Dinner?

Ours is today. We used to have it on Saturday, then a couple years ago I suggested that we do it on Good Friday. Stores closed; there's nothing to do anyway.

I made the Peach Dump Cake yesterday and am taking that.

Normally Mom makes a turkey, potatoes, veggies etc.

This year we're all contributing more and she vetoed the chicken, in favour of a spiral-sliced ham. Also meatballs in the slow cooker. The teenagers are fussy eaters, so chicken fingers and fries (fries are the *only* thing one kid eats) as an alternative for anyone who wants them.

My brother married a Jewish girl (divorced now) and his kids follow all of the traditions (Jewish and Christian). We knew they wouldn't eat the ham, plus being Passover (from other years we know they won't eat buns, the stuffing in the turkey). When Mom told Jeff that she's having chicken fingers, he said the breading on them will prevent the kids from eating that. Wow, neither of us thought of that one.

There is going to be lots of food to choose from for everybody, though.
