Bob Keeshan played the first Clarabelle and later went on to become Captain Kangaroo.

The very first show I remember watching regularly besides cartoons is the original Mickey Mouse Club.

There was also some children's programing local to San Francisco. The Brother Buzz Show, Captain Satellite and The Mayor Art Show along with a Romper Room type show called the Ding Dong Schoolhouse.

Early days of American Bandstand. Late 50s when it aired nationally every afternoon. Loved watching Kenny and Arlene dance.

I Remember Mama was my very favorite show when I was a child. Friday night....I remember saying, "Mama's on!" I wonder what I'll think of it today.

I still catch Dragnet and Father Knows Best occasionally on a TV channel that runs old shows. I would love to see Topper again. I'll definitely check out the link--thanks!

PS: I was a regular Howdy Doody watcher, too.

I remember all of these. Queen for a Day made a special impression on me...those poor women crying because they had 9 kids and no washing machine or whatever.

Aunt Audrey--I remember Cisco Kid too. Remember at the end they would say, "Oh Cisco, Oh Pancho...ha ha ha ha ha!"

Did we mention Hopalong Cassidy and Maverick? I loved the cowboy shows because they had horses.

I was just looking at the list of them that are available on that site to view, they have a very good selection and some I had not heard of, most of them however I have heard of and many I have watched.

I forwarded that site link to several of my other friends that will remember them too LOL.

I loved Sky King - it was our Saturday ritual to have potatoe soup and grill cheese for lunch while watching Sky King. Wasn't the gilr's name Penny?

Her name was Penny and I think she was his niece.

Remember the dramatic voice announcing the show.......

"From out of the clear blue of the western sky comes Sky King".

I'd love to see The Millionaire again with Michael Anthony handing out a one million dollar check to some surprised and unsuspecting person.

I try to be up at 4am to watch Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford and all the great 50s cars! Two-door squad cars... never saw one in real life but maybe they had them in California where it's supposed to take place.

I remember watching Amos 'N Andy after school. It's downright sick that they pressured that show into hiding. So many other shows are far less politically correct but this is an example of hysteria ruling the masses.

Here's over 5 hrs of Vintage TV faturing an episode of: Jack Benny Show, One Step Beyond, You Bet Your Life, Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Red Skelton Show, Dragnet, Milton Berle Show, This is Your Life, Andy Griffith Show, Mr & Miss North, Soupy Sales Show and more.

Gotta love the internet, and the stations like THIS and MeTV for keeping this type of classic television around for those of us who appreciate it. Mr. Ed, Patty Duke Show, Beverly Hillbillies and all of them.

I remember all of them,I loved "I remember mama",and i actually danced on American Bandstand.That dance floor was soooooooooooooo much smaller than it looked on tv.I always liked pat mollotolli,and justine(the blonde)Think i have pats last name wrong,but i have crs these days!!!
