My Turn for Lost Keys

I can't find the keys to my travel trailer. I've cleaned out my purse where I usually keep them. I know I took some other keys out before going to California, but didn't think I took those out. But I've gone through the drawer where I put the others and they weren't there. PANIC is setting in.

The last time there was a "lost key" post...my friend had lost her keys...today my DD lost my DH's keys. Wierd!! Today's keys were found in DD's jacket. Check your closet!:-)

Look on the site wunderground and get the history of your area weather, because you want to make sure you don't start the foundation when there is a possibility of a cold spell. It is important that the concrete cures properly. It seems that there are always obstacles that come along and interrupt the stream in building a house; it was that way for me, and for others with whom i have talked.

"Minnie, the remote is in the bathroom or the kitchen. You absentmindedly had it in your hand when you went into the other room." that's what I thought too and even looked in the freezer. I found it after tearing the bedroom apart. it was on the bookshelf next to the bed on top of some audio tapes I listen to at night. It is the same width as the tapes. There was a twilight Zone or Tales of the darkside once that had an episode that when you leave a room these little guys come out and put everything in a different place and have to get it all back right before you come back sometimes they don't make the deadline!!

I don't think you need to paint the bedroom furniture if you go back to the blue silk rug. With the dark and warm rug, I think it would be better in a least a cream or latte tone if not stained wood, but I think the white can work fine with a lighter rug, If the sofa doesn't need to stay, I'd probably prefer a pair of chairs and table or ottoman in front of the fireplace more than a sofa to the side, but you have the sofa. Move it over there and see how it looks under the window, whether it is too large to go across in front of the fireplace,etc. Then decide. Consider one of the round tables at that end of the room either as an end table to the sofa or between two chairs. If you want the piece under the window to be showcased, you have it in the wrong place. It has too much competition there -- a fireplace, the wood mantel, the black fire screen, a window and a dark mirror all competing with it. Is there room for it across from the bed if you also put a bench there? If not, I would try it at the end of the room where the sofa is but to one side. If you don't have anything under the spot with the painting, it could go into the corner of that wall and the wall where the sofa is. Are the drapes something you had and thought you might use or something bought for this room? You might be able to make them work, but to be honest, I'd like something lighter. Silk panels would look rich. I've seen smocked gauzy white than could take the room in a much different direction. I am guessing your French leanings would favor the silk panels.or long yardage draped across the window and down in an exaggerated scarf treatment.

My post about lost keys brought some great suggestions. Unfortunately, I can't find the thread, though. I did a search, but it didn't come up. Better luck with your keys!

Check your purse again, pull up the lining. I once lost a set of keys and found it in the lining of the hem of my winter coat. Good luck!

I did check my purse/lining too Jannie. At least my purse is clean now. LOL
While I was in California, I had my DS and her DH staying off and on here, with my dog and 2 cats. I thought I remembered talking all my extra keys out of my purse (metal detector & extra weight) and putting them in this kitchen junk drawer. But when I looked in there, there was only the other 2 sets and not the trailer set. So, I asked my sister at church this morning, if she'd seen any keys with a green metal bottle opener on it. (She's more scatter brained than I am sometimes.) She said gee, I kinda remember feeling some keys in my pocket, then spaced it off, thinking they were probably some extra car keys of theirs. Then she called and said she'd found them in her jacket pocket. She was having trouble using my key pad on the garage, and she thought those were house keys because one is marked 'front' door, so she took them in case she couldn't get the garage door open.
So, phew, what a relief. I'll be getting an extra set made for the trailer.
