gel mats?

Anyone tried the www.gelpro.com mats? They are expensive so I'd love to hear live experience before investing. They sound wonderful for painful old joints but do they last? I have seen different ones and wonder if they are all made by one company selling under different names or manufactured by seperate company's, if so how much does the quality differ?

I was all ready to buy a gel-pro, since my knees are extremely iffy and standing to prepare food is an epic battle...BUT: you know what, I've found other mats at Goodwill that are WAY better than the gelmats (I've stood on them). I have dreamy mats that -- well, this is funny -- I just looked up the brand name on it and it's evidently a sleeping mat for camping! Just find a rug to go over it and you'll be very very happy.

I have one. I purchased it and BB&B. It was out of the box so I got it for 1/2 price, the long one. It is wonderful to stand on but I don'the like the solidness of the color so I am still going to need to purchase a rug to go over it.

I looked on the gelpro website and couldn't find anything that related to heated tiles. I would give them a call and ask them specifically about it. 1-866-GEL MATS (435-6287 Good luck - our feet, knees and backs really like our gel mats. (Ours are from Costco, but the same technology, I'm sure.)

We kept having problems with our mats curling, finally I got so tired of it I contacted gelpro and requested a refund or replacement. They said the product was out of warranty, and only offered a discount for a new purchase. They said that the new mats have been improved to avoid curling. When I pressed them harder about good customer service and standing behind their product, they agreed to replace both mats. We've had them a little bit over a month, so far no curling. Time will tell, but I really appreciate that GelPro had a change of heart and replaced our defective mats.

Love mine. Current ones are wellness with beveled edge. Previous ones were gelpro basic model with more of an edge, and were lovely except after a few years the edges curled up. No curling at all with the beveled edge. Bought one from Costco for my daughter, only cost about $25 and has a 25 year warranty! They wear extremely well, wash very easily, and are very comfortable to stand on. They are much heavier than a rug, which makes the big ones a bit of a pain to move. But on the up side, they do not shift around on the floor at all. The curled edges became a bit of a tripping issue, but zero tripping issue on the beveled edge ones. Highly recommend.

Thank you, VERY Interesting! flyleft, we have a bunch of camping mats in the motorhome, I'm going out to give them a try! Makes perfect sense to me but never would have had the connecting thought, Thank You!

I have a long Gelmat in the laundry room n front of the sink. The floor in there is concrete and the mat helps a lot. it has been there since Christmas. So far, it has held up to pet paws, dirt, splashes, etc.
