When I was working for 31 years (which ended when I got disabled by kidney failure) I'd wake up at 6 am. Yes, that meant I was in bed by 10 the night before, so I couldn't watch TV shows that came on at ten, nor long movies, nor did I ever watch Johnny Carson. Anyway, when my house needed cleaning, I'd set the alarm an hour early, for 5 am. Then I'd have an extra hour of my own to clean, sort, dust, everything but vacuum. At six I'd take a shower and start my regular work day as usual. And I did enjoy sleeping in on weekends. This schedule may help. Good luck! One more tip- when you are planning on a party or having guests over, invite them for Sunday afternoon or evening. That way, you can spend Saturday shopping for food and cleaning and Sunday decorating (if desired) and doing the cooking. These are strategies that worked for me.

We've been having fun already. DD's, their two friends and I, went to sis in law's to give her a bday gift. MIL, Fil, BIL were all there. SIL is gathering stuff for a garage sale. She gave the girls all sorts of fancy shoes, some never worn. Fancy clothes and One of the friends was THRILLED to get a huge box of Taste of Home cooking magazines, cook books etc. Once we got back home we all made pancakes, eggs, bacon, strawberries. By the end of dinner every girl had a face full of whipped cream (from a bottle). We laughed so much at their antics. Later, they dressed up in the three inch high heels and cool outfits while I took pictures. We parted ways by 7 pm though. We're going to bed early tonight. DD is on her fourth grade Reading Classics team. They are going to state tournament tomorrow after winning district a couple weeks ago. Positive thoughts would be much appreciated please. They are good but this is State, so they are ALL good! While we are gone to that nail biter,, DH will be going to the other side of the state to watch DS trap shoot. He's been doing this since sixth grade and he is now a junior. It's exciting but also alot of waiting around! Since DS has been at a FBLA leadership conference the last couple of days (he's there until they go to the trap meet) I'm thinking he's gonna be tired while shooting. At least he can take off the tie, he'll love that! It finally going to be a warm day too. yippee! Sunday I hope to work outside, cleaning up the winter leaves and getting ready to plant. Might have a bon fire later that night. Better get some hot dogs. Everyone's invited.

I understand why the butcher in Houston never heard of it, I know I have never heard of it. Anyone know the story of why it's called city chicken? I would definitely love to try it sounds good. I can on occasion find pork cubed as stew meat, I use pork stew meat in my corn soup. That meat on a stick deep fried sounds like fair food! Love fair food, good thing it only happens once a year. I unfortunately have not been able to go to a fair in years.

GN. Yes I'm afraid there really is a Prog called Weed It and Reap. Starts with this bloke in a suit, who never gets his hands dirty, driving up in a posh auto with the registration letters WEED IT on the front and AND REAP on the back, which must be highly illegal for a start. I kid you not! Then he gets the gang to attempt to do in one day what the Ground Force Team does in two (with vaying degrees of success). All this to make the property more sale-able. The suit comes back at the end of the show and always announces that the wonderful work carried in the garden has added £3000 (or something close) to the value of the house. So a property which was on the market attracting no interest whatever @ say £210,000 suddenly becomes instantly highly attractive to any prospective buyer when the price increases to £213,000 because of one day spent tidying up the back garden. Well that's what it's about.
