Is it normal for Chainsaw to leak bar oil if left idling?
Comments (2)The smaller Echo saws pump oil at idle, though the larger ones are clutch driven and stop pumping at idle. Perfectly natural for them to do this. To minimize the mess when stored, just set the saws on a piece of cardboard and you'll be A-OK....See MoreRuud gas water heater - possible gas leak in control?
Comments (1)The only surefire way of checking that is to install a pressure guage between the shutoff valve and control. Then cut the valve off and watch the guage to see if it's leaking. Leak detectors are a good tool, but they will pick up all sorts of stuff...dish soap, leak detector soap, pipe dope, etc. You can't always trust them....See MoreHELP!!! Return Pipe Leaking in Pool!!! Is this normal?
Comments (6)I had the same question. During the time before plaster, we noticed 3 of our pipes were dripping. I called my pool builder and he told me that it was normal because there was a coupling for the autofill that was probably loose but would be removed for the pressure test. We went on vacation for 5 days and when we came back, the leak was gone. They plastered and acid washed my pool and I never noticed a them leaking again....See MoreNew French Doors Installed By Contractor.. Leaks same day. Normal?
Comments (29)Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thank you again Joseph for all that information. Before I throw threats at the salesman could I get one more opinion.. So looks like they did use "Silicone Caulk like required from "Endura manufacturer's installation instructions". Spoke to salesman and he told us silicone takes longer to settle.. only when it gets lots of sun, he claimed the silicone caulk was not settled the 1st day it rained Well it rained again today and this time didn't see any water get inside. Does that mean everything is fixed? Still worried about the little light peaking out at center/bottom (by weatherstrip) of door and sides. etc He said wait 1 more week to see if we get any more leaks and if we do he would send someone from door manufacturer to take a look at it. What do you recommend we should do here? 1) Wait 1 week to see if we do get any more leaks, if not that means our doors are fixed? 2) Still tell the salesman to bring someone asap to fix all those open light spots or we will inform division of inspection of his delinquent license, etc...See Morejason1083
