What to Bake with the kids, for memories later ?

I saw a couple of Posts where the kids made Cookies and helped baking. They love this.

It brought back Memories, so I thought it would be nice to start a Post using this theme.

I have a couple things that came to mind, like Pizzeles and Biscotti.

But I'll let you have fun.

I'll put in one that I remembered.

LouÂs - Fruit Filled Cookies

My Daughters were craving my wifeÂs Filled Cookies.

I guess mainly because, they helped her make them, when they were about 10 yrs.old.

They were plain , nothing fancy but tasted great.

SO OOOO !!! I used my Vanilla Pizzelle Recipe and

added more flour to make a dough ball.

Had to work on a floured worktop.

Made dough balls a little larger than a golf ball.

Patted them into a 3 1/2 inch circle and put on some Apple Pie Filling.

Rubbed some of the Apple juice on the dough edge so it would stick.

Folded the dough over to the shape of a half moon or Ravioli and

Press sealed the edge with my finger,

They can be made round also, using 2 pieces.

Baked them at 400 Deg. For about 20 min. or until Golden Brown.

Any Pie filling can be used. I cut the Apples and Peaches into smaller pieces.

The 3 egg batch made 16 cookies. They were larger the a dollar bill.

Didn't think they would grow that much, when baked.

Guess that's whwt knives are for.

Even made a little Angel !!!

My kids are grown now and so are their kids.

SOOO !!! What do you BAKE, with the little ones ?????

LOU
