Katie, I like to use Welches White Grape Blends..raspberry sherbert and lemon lime or gingerale...you can spike it to your hearts content.

100% White Grape Peach Juice
100% White Grape Pear Juice *My first choice!!

I love, love, love this punch recipe:

CHAMPAGNE PUNCH
1 cup Triple Sec
1 cup brandy
1/2 cup Chambord
2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
1 quart chilled ginger ale
2 chilled 750-ml. bottles dry champagne

In a bowl combine the Triple Sec, the brandy, the Chambord and the pineapple juice and chill the mixture, covered, for at least 4 hours or overnight. In a large punch bowl combine the Triple Sec mixture, the ginger ale, and the champagne and add ice cubes.

Makes about 16 cups, serving 12.

My mom used to make Champagne Punch for New Years, I think this is the recipe. She used pink champagne and made a second bowl that substituted Hawaiian punch (fruit punch or orange flavor) for the pink champagne for kids and non-drinkers. She also made a ice ring that was heavily filled with fruit to add flavor as the night went on. I think she mainly used sliced oranges (seedless), maraschino cherries, and strawberries. For the kids version she just added more sherbet to keep it cold.

CHAMPAGNE ORANGE SHERBET PUNCH

1 container of Orange Sherbet
1 two liter of Ginger Ale
1 bottle of Champagne

In punch bowl, empty out one container of Orange Sherbet. Pour in a 2 liter bottle of Ginger Ale and one bottle of Champagne

We have this every year at Christmas. The kids have theirs with orange juice (see Variations) and the adults add red wine to their glass.

Cranberry Punch

2 cups cranberry cocktail
1 cup pineapple juice
2 cups ginger ale

Combine first 2 ingredients and chill. Do not add ginger ale until ready to serve punch so that it doesnÂt go flat.

Add frozen raspberries to the punch as a garnish and/or make ice cubes out of cranberry cocktail and pineapple juice (red and yellow cubes) so that it doesnÂt water down the punch and keeps it chilled. Or put some of the punch mixture (without the ginger ale) into a bundt cake pan and freeze. When frozen solid, dip pan in hot water to loosen then put the big cube into the punch bowl. It keeps the punch chilled for quite some time.

Variation: Add 2 cups orange juice, or red wine (to taste).

Here's a few. I can vouch for the Austin Margaritas...awesome!

Austin Margaritas

1 12-oz can frozen limeade
1 12-oz can sprite
1 12-oz can tequila (or maybe a little less to taste. I use Sauza Gold)
1 12-oz bottle Corona beer.

Mix all ingredients together in a punch bowl. Serve on the rocks with glasses rimmed in salt.

Cape Codder Punch

1 (48 oz) bottle cranberry juice cocktail
1 ½ cups vodka
1/3 cup sweetened lime juice
1 (1 liter) bottle ginger ale
Ice cubes
Garnish: fresh cranberries and lime wedges on swizzle sticks

Stir together first 3 ingredients. Stir in ginger ale just before serving and serve over ice.

Whiskey Punch
(makes 32 cups)

2 liters whiskey or bourbon
½ liter dark rum
1 ¼ cups sugar
7 cups strong-brewed tea
3 ½ cups fresh lemon juice or 4 (7.5 oz) bottles of frozen lemon juice thawed
2 quarts orange juice

Stir together all ingredients in a large crock or food safe container. Cover mixture and chill for up to 3 days before serving.

Thanks, guys...lots of yummy ideas. The girls say we should wait until Saturday and see what strikes us. (Yeah, easy for them to say because I'm the one who has to run to the store.)

Here's another to consider:

TROPICAL HOLIDAY PUNCH

1 (46 oz.) can unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled
2 cups piña colada mix, chilled
1 (12 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 (1 liter) bottle club soda, chilled
1 (10 oz.) package frozen raspberries, optional
Garnish: orange sections

Stir together the first 4 ingredients and raspberries, if desired, in a large punch bowl; garnish if desired. Makes 5 quarts.
