I want ROUND cookies !!!!

I don't think I've ever posted on this forum, but I frequently read and post on many other GW boards. Thought I'd try my luck here, even though I have searched online for the answer....

I am making what many call Wedding cookies, that are mainly butter, flour, confectioner's sugar, pecans and vanilla, and you roll in confectioners sugar when done. I see them all the time in a ball shape, but mine always spread. They TASTE fine, but how do I get them to stay in balls? Yes, I refrigerate the dough and I try not to incorporate too much air when mixing, but they never maintain that round shape.

Would love to know the secret!!
