What do you do with Cranberries?

How are you going to serve cranberries this Thanksgiving?

I am going to make a Tex Mex Cranberry Salsa. Even the grand kids liked it last year, served with pita chips. For an appetizer it can be used served on a block of cream cheese.

Here is the recipe, not sure were the recipe is taken from. Sorry if it is someones on this forum, if it is thanks it was a hit!

TEX MEX CRANBERRY SALSA

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

1 12-ounce package Fresh or Frozen Cranberries

2 tablespoons chopped canned jalapeno peppers

1 teaspoon dried cilantro

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

1 green onion, white and green parts, sliced

1 teaspoon lime juice

DIRECTIONS:

Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add cranberries; return to a boil. Gently boil cranberries for 10 minutes without stirring. Pour into a medium glass mixing bowl. Gently stir in remaining ingredients.

Cool at room temperature and refrigerate. Best if served at room temperature. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.

Have seen this recipe with an apple, or drained canned pineapple or celery added, after the cranberries are cooked.
