Thanks cyn. My pics are on Flickr, I just hadn't taken the time to play with Flickr on my iPad. I've done so now. Here is a pic of the existing colours on and around the now in place vanity.

Here is a picture of the long reach in closet

Two additional closets that will get closet doors. These are across fom the master bath, off a small hall. They aren't a large presence in the main part of the bedroom itself. But they will be painted in the same colour.

This picture shows you exactly where the long closet is, the open wall. We didn't go with the vanity shown here.

I would paint them the same as the wall color for a more calm feeling.

I second that. Did that in our kitchen with our pantry door and it works well to create uniformity in the space

Thanks Janice and Yaya. We did think of using Downpipe, I like the idea. I worried that it might be too much dark given the the amount of doors we are looking at though. Any thoughts on that? How big is your pantry door Janice?

I painted my closet doors same color as the rest of the bedroom so they blend in. They are sliding doors that take up an entire wall.

I realize that this may not be your cup of tea, or that you might not want to take on the cost, but what about using F&B's Broad Stripe wallpaper on your closet doors?

Bronwynsmom, the stripes aren't for me, but I do like the idea of wallpapered closet doors. The doors would certainly become more of a statement with a nice paper. I had thought I'd do pattern and drama in the drapes, hence my desire for the closets to blend in. But I could reverse the notion. What do you think?

I agree that you should do one or the other.

I'd be inclined to paint everything - doors and trim - on the closet wall in Downpipe. Make the whole business disappear, and put really interesting handles on the doors.
