Ugly bifold closet doors
Comments (19)You could do wood molding, wallpaper, decoupage, paint, stencil, wood appliques, or any combination of that. Remember, if you can draw it full scale, you can transfer the pattern to the doors and paint. If you can draw it on your computer, you can email the file and the final dimensions you want to a Staples near you (call their print shop) and they'll print it out for you at whatever size you like. Or, you can project artwork onto the wall/doors, then trace around it with a pencil. Michaels sells the projectors. OR Claudesw, one of our members here did this to her hollow core doors with a little wood trim: OR Take them down and replace them with curtains. Comments (2)Check out Simpson doors...made in the PNW. But I think they're sold all over the country. They have some great Shaker style 3 and 5 panel doors that come in bifold, and in multiple choices of woods....See MoreRaising a bifold closet door
Comments (7)Hm, adjusting the left door to (almost) the same height as the right door makes it difficult to close one door if the other door is closed. It is as if the door opening is too narrow to fit both doors, although both doors are already in the extreme outward positions, i.e. the left door in the far left position and the right door in the far right position. Just a little bit further outward and the thickness of the door would prevent the door from being opened as the door panel can't be rotated around the hinge. The doors were perfect when they were originally installed. Any further ideas?...See MoreCloset doors - bifold + half of bifold?
Comments (4)We used to have our hampers in the bedroom, but they take up a lot of space in our bedroom's reach in closet (we don't have a walk in and our room isn't huge). Since we have the space in the hallway right outside of our bedroom, I thought we could expand our linen closet and add a laundry section like I had seen in photos online. Because it isn't in a laundry room, I didn't want to leave it open to the hallway and I also didn't like the idea of laundry in with my clean linens, so I thought putting up a wall between them would make sense. Attached is my poor drawing and two ideas I saw online....See Moreapple_pie_order
