Bifold Door
A bifold door has panels that pleat on hinges. The weight of the door hangs from a track above and remains vertical with the help of a track below. Having the door fold at the center takes up less space than a conventional door when it's open. Some bifold doors slide into pockets, so they're hidden when not in use.
Bifold doors are like floor-to-ceiling windows — that open.
If a traditional door were used in this space, valuable space would be lost with the swing of the door.
Bifold doors are most common on closets and in laundry rooms.
A bifold door can fold to one side of the door or both.
The best advantage of a bifold door is that you can open it a little or a lot.
