It really depends on the size and how shriveled they are. I have had some that when soaked for a few minutes in water and then wrapped in saran, revive. I have had others that just rotted. That was before I began storing them individually wrapped in saran after dusting them with sulfur - now they never shrivel up.

Can you move each door just enough away so that door fully open would be against the wall into the corner? My daughters room is similar to the bedroom on the left and we ended up moving the door close to the railing so we could open the door fully and not see it from the window. Based on the drawing you show it looks like you could move the doors a foot or so further away from the corner. In my office, which is a floor below my daughters room I had the exact same issue. I knew that door would probably remain open most of the time so I ended up changing the swing of the door the opposite way. Also being on the 1st floor I knew a door against that window would be very visible, not so much a floor up. It is annoying like that if you would be opening and closing the door to enter and leave, but since it's an office it's fine as I may close that door maybe once a week at most.
