I have to chime in here too. I bought my Johnny Bucket Jr. during the winter holidays this past winter. I've been completely pleased with the product, and I'm seriously considering the upgrade to the scrape blade that mounts on the same frame. I have nothing by high regards for the product, and the customer service. I certainly wish other companies would treat their customers this well, and make a product this good. Oh, BTW. It is made right here in the good old USA.

I completely agree with everything Fran just said and more. I have been watching this amazing woman for three years now juggle family, job and this tremendous plant sale. She goes to work at 4:30 AM at Costco and then sells plants when she gets done work until she needs to go home and take care of her two youngest children. She is instilling a sense of community service in her children - they all participate from potting plants, growing seeds, painting pots and selling plants. The are a wonderful family! What was gratifying to see this year was the volume of repeat customers and referrals. So many people said "you don't have to tell me - I've been coming here for years", "I come every year to support you (Michelle) and the Childrens' Hospital". New for me at least were the non Costco members who found out about the crazy plant lady from Costco members who bought from her before and recommended them to buy from Michelle. The network is also expanding so hopefully more people will volunteer to help Michelle and her family. I can't say enough about how much effort Michelle and her family put in to making this event a huge success and she deserves every ounce of credit for its accomplishments. It is an honor and pleasure for me to be associated with Michelle and her family in this endeavor.

Oh Ellendi, thanks for asking! The party was Wednesday night, and it was really fun! I invited about 20 women, and I'd say about 15 showed up. DH and I worked like dogs getting the house all clean and decorated. I liked that it was important to him that everything look good too. It was originally set up as a potluck for some waitresses I work with. We had hairdressers, nurses, my friend the professional workout queen, my accountant, the acupuncturist I go to, what a great vast wealth of knowledge! But, mostly we ate too much, drank white cranberry cosmos and wine and laughed our butts off. Some of the topics of conversation were hysterical. This was precisely the kind of stuff I miss since quitting my job. My presentation was a little OTT for the holidays, but I'd really like to set something up once a month with all these girls and whoever they want to bring along. Maybe books or cards or a cook off. The part I like is that everyone comes from a different place and there is so much we can do to support each other. I especially feel for the younger working moms who need as much support as they can get. Anyway, I feel like the thread helped me reach out more than I normally would have. I'd like to keep that up. Shout out to Splatchcock that turkey!

I did put a ball of stuffing under the "splatchcocked" :) turkey with a piece of foil to keep it from falling through the rack onto the pan. Then I took that part of the stuffing and mixed it into the other stuffing with some drippings, and finished it off in the oven. But honestly, I only did that because a few members of the family said that they like it stuffed. I have never liked stuffing the bird at all because it usually results in a dry bird or unsafe stuffing. From now on, I'm going to "splatchcock" (I like my spelling better), and just finish the stuffing off with some drippings. They'll never know. I think the real learning this year was about that backbone making such a good stock for the gravy. It was a lot better than any of the previous 20 years. I could tell from the aroma of the stock that it was richer, even before making the gravy. I'm not even a big gravy fan, but that stock was so rich, and produced a really nicely flavored gravy.

Hey everyone this Justin!!!
I just wanted to say thanks for all the support and prayers for my deployment to afgan were I will be apart of rebuilding cities and earning the trust of the afgans with the language that I have learned(Pashto).

Sharon and all y'all....thanks for the "shout out" for my buddy!!! I know we all have friends and family serving their countries so this is a very cool and thoughtful post.

Also, thanks for all the help and advice with the party this past weekend. We had a great time....for the most part things went well and without a hitch. I did learn a few things though for future gatherings of this size. LOL

I will post a few pics by the end of the week. I only managed a couple...it was a crazy night! I will get some from DS and DN once they send them to me.
