Lemon Meringue Pie Problem

I could not find my old recipe so I used one off the net. It looked beautiful, till I cut it and tasted good but the filling was totally liquid! The filling was thick when I put the meringue on..then I baked it & after cooling put it in the 'frig overnight.

Any tips or thoughts?

Does anyone have a good recipe to share (not one that used milk though)?
