Help me decide on exterior paint colors

We purchased a 1970's house a few months ago we are extensively remodeling. Have to repaint some of the exterior areas, exterior doors, shutters. The house is mostly brick, with the front porch area, soffits, and under carport that are painted the original cream color, doors and shutters are a dark green. Windows are dark brown aluminum which we are also replacing. I do think the colors they picked go with the brick, but wondering if I should consider any other colors for the most curb appeal, as I think house is kinda of bland? I know the roof is a different color than the original. We will be replacing the windows as part of the remodel going with Marvin Integrity, most likely in pebble gray, have attached those samples pictures as well so feel free to comment, other choices are cashmere and bronze.

We suggest doing a white-washed brick and white or light gray siding. Keep the black shutters. While this is a different style of home, it's the same idea:

benjesbride, Oh thank you so much! I didn't even think about checking the coordinating colors for revere pewter! Ideally I'd have the house all white with a fun pop of color for the door but my husband would just about blow a gasket if I added another expense to our renovation lol. chloebud I'm actually loving both of those colors! I lean slightly towards the lighter color but I'm not walking away from the darker one either. I'll be getting some samples of those to try out. Thanks! Cheryl Smith Good point & good idea. As I mentioned to benjesbride, I so wish it was in the budget to have our home repainted white so we could do a sage green door or some other variation of green. Green is my favorite color and unfortunately the sage/mint colors that I love, just don't seem to go with revere pewter. (We just purchased the home already painted the RP color) loobab, Thank you for your suggestions! We are definitely changing up the landscape. We already took the rose bushes out and we plan to do some kind of hedge in that area instead. We typically like to landscape with evergreen plants and white flowers. I love green but I haven't found a shade that's not too dark nor too light that looks good with our Revere Pewter exterior. :/ In a perfect world, I'd be able to do a door similar to these colors: This one has an exterior closer to the color our home is painted now but I don't think it looks amazing. I think it would look better if it were a white home or something lighter.

Thank you Celerygirl for all of the mock ups....they are so appreciated! I['m still unsure at this point but what are your thoughts on shutters? Also, what is the closest Sherwin Williams color to your suggested Benjamin Moore Timber Wolf? I tried to google it with no success. I'm still so torn, Granite Peak was always my top but maybe a Gray is what I should go with? I literally can't sleep with this hanging over my head but I'm going to try, and probably like in the past, I'll dream of color and paint yet again! jck910 & katinparadise - I so appreciate your feedback too. Do you know what Sherwin Williams paint color is closest to BM Storm by chance? When you mentioned the blues weren't resonating with you, can you be more specific on the paint samples I have on my house? I wasn't sure if you were looking solely at the mock ups or those as well? (And I know have some dark blues in there) as well as some lights, the one on the left up top (Poolhouse) is my fiance's favorite but it's been a NO for me almost immediately. LOL Thank you all again, and please respond if/when you can, I greatly appreciate it. I don't know if I have to give the painter the answer tomorrow morning though I'm hoping I have until late afternoon....fingers crossed! Until tomorrow, good night!

I think your home is very charming! I wouldn't paint the brick but would paint the siding a color that corresponds with the stone. I understand that's easy for me to say since I haven't been looking at your home for 25 years. I would just hate for you to paint over some of the charm of your beautiful home. Okay, I gotta admit that the all-grey color scheme, even on the brick does look nice. It just really changes the style of the home. Hope this helps in your decision-making!

The house colors are already perfect except the sidewalk. I would paint it a deep shade of magenta or similar, something that matches the brick and the plants. I always use the rule, light and dark for basics then dull and bright for accents. That is what the current paint colors show, the dark brick against the light background and the dark shutters all blend together well. If you accent by painting the sidewalk a deep color, it will set it off beautifully....don't use black for the sidewalk, you won't be able to see at night to walk on it...black h3re would be too much black..just the dark shutters will do the trick. It's your house, you have to be satisfied with the colors yourself, this is just my opinion. becky ps a deep green, almost a black, would be better for the shutters instead of a black. be cautious using too much extra color as you already have a lot of color with the brick column and .plants. some people paint the brick but my opinion is the natural brick looks better. good luck.

Thanks for opinion puppy. I had thought the lighter paint color fit the color of brick well and could not picture the siding a darker shade than the brick. The shutters i think once were a dark green but have changed over time. There will be a new front door that has 3/4 glass in it, and thinking of changing exterior light fixtures.
