Perhaps a last minute change...any ideas??

Every year I make a light salad on fresh mixed greens, paper thin sliced onions, fennel and topped with walnuts, crumbled blue cheese and raspberry dressing.

Its fast easy and light.

But a few days ago while DH was speaking to his mom about what she was bringing she let it slip that both her and FIL dislike the salad!! Can't stand it...dread it even LOL!!!

Now while my feelings are not at all hurt-to each his own. I feel like I simply must not serve that salad this year!!

I was thinking about maybe another salad...perhaps a cucumber salad??

It must be light, fast and easy and it must go with traditional thanksgiving fare.

Now while we are on the subject...should you tell your host if they are serving something you don't care for??

I mean I make this dish every year!! And they scarf it down every year LOL!! I was clueless the whole time LOL!!

I know they were just being kind and eating it anyway.

I don't really know since I like just about everything and I am so happy for someone to cook for me I eat it all.

So to all you fantastic cooks...what should I serve this year?? A salad, soup or other appetizer??

Cheers!

Susie
