Rats, I hate having daylight savings time start so early! Now I have to wait around an extra hour before it's light enough to get into the garden, the hens will be confused in their little internal clocks (and believe me, hens are easily confused), and no more dinners by candlelight, just daylight. Phooey!

Time Changes this Sunday Nov 6

Last Sunday morning,Oct 30, hubby woke me up to tell me "The clock in the TV is wrong." It showed 8:30, while the rest of the clocks in my house showed 9:30. I turned on the computer and it shgowed 9:30. I sort of guessed the TV was programmed years ago, and had jumped back due to Daylight Savings Time. I fixed the TV. Later, I went to my car and its clock was also an hour behind. Rather than change it twice, Oct 30 and again Nov 6, I just left it,figuring it's just easier to let it sty. Now on Sunday I'll have to re-do the TV, as well as all the regular clocks. Sigh...

Jades on Sunday Morning

Erica: I always love those little bonuses. In almost every Jade pot of mine I have another little plant growing from a leaf that fell off or that I planted and forgot about. Oksana: I guess I was under the impression that a slight twist in the leaf was a defining feature of obliqua. Your obliqua is very nice, and healthy. Christopher

Sunday Morning Breakfast!
Q

Sunday morning is when the 3 of us sit down to have breakfast together. We rotate every week between French toast, waffles, pancakes (different ones - blueberry, cottage cheese, buckwheat), crepes, eggs with homemade muffins, cinnamon buns, raisin bread. All served with sausage or bacon or ham and fruit. Son has local Martinelli's apple juice and DH and I have coffee. After having such a big breakfast, I just have a yogurt for lunch. I am glad we only do this once a week, I couldn't eat like that every day.

Add me to the list of I FREAKING HATE THIS!!!!!!

Things aren't gloomy enough, we need to wake up when it's dark? Schoolkids get to wait at the bus stop in the dark. What was wrong with starting this in April? I hate being jerked around by the Gov't and waking up in the dark!

(end of annual rant)

Sorry, but I always look forward to it and am glad it starts earlier. I really like it stays light later.

As far as the bus kids go, they've been going to and coming home in the dark anyway in winter. At least around here where some have a long bus ride.
