You might want to ask that question in the cleaning forum also.

One trick I learned for getting things that were stuck on plastic off, was to use the plastic cap from a Stik pen to gentley scrape it away. It's worked for me in the past. Also try a credit card for large areas.

Since the masking tape has been through some pretty hot days in Phoenix where you live, it's probably baked on pretty good and there won't be any stickiness left to remove.

I'm not sure I'm understanding, but one thing I do when I've left blue tape on too long is to use a razor to cut (gently) at the edge of the tape, slowly and carefully. That way I cut through the paint and won't rip the paint in the area it's supposed to be painted.

If that doesn't help, I'm sorry...I'm just not understanding, I guess...

Fly, the tape is right on the window framing and is now really stuck. Dilly Dally is right about the heat. This window is also on the west side of the house.

Dilly Dally, I don't know what a Stik pen is, but a credit card is a great idea! I have a plastic scraper, but it's just too thick to get under the tape. I'll let you know if the cc works. Thanks!

The product below will take it off. I'd first wet the tape with hot soapy water to get any paper off, then spray on the DeSolv-it and let it soak.
This stuff works. It took off 12 yr old silicone from a shower door on a fiberglass tub. I used a plastic putty knife to scrape off the excess.

Its a classic Bic Stik pen as apposed to the Bic Clic pen that is retactable and does not have a cap. The caps have a long 'thing' on them so you can hook the pen onto a folder or somehing so it is handy.

The 'thing' is flat but curved in one direction on one side and thick, so it does not bend. You hold the cap. It is a great tool for removing labels from items and not ruining your nails.

You might also use one of those wallet sized ice scrapers. They are a little thicker and don't bend which may be a plus or a minus for using it on the trim. A CC can bend slightly for curves on trim. Or get one of these 3" little ones with a handle which are easier on the wrist. Good luck finding these as give-a-ways in your area though.
