Short term, we have friends coming at the end of the month, I'm looking forward to that. Longer term, a week at the beach at the end of May, that will be glorious! Then 2 weeks in CO in Sept. So we have a lot to look forward to.

I'm looking forward to spring/summer and spending time in my garden. It was only a few months ago that I thought it would be impossible and now I already have veggies out there growing ...I also have a little rabbit that comes in every night and has his dinner ...buffet style.

It is very critical to have something to look forward to, even just a small thing. I think people who are depressed, like people in nursing homes, often are that way because they have nothing to look forward to.

I always have lots of things to look forward too. At this hour I am looking forward to going out and pick up lunch and go back to our youngest daughter's home and eat and then hem her curtains. I am never bored and don't understand how people can ever be bored. Look forward to getting my sewing room cleaned up. Looking forward to being able to spend more time outside with my little dog. Looking forward to mowing. It just never ends. I keep happy.

I'm looking forward to March 21st because I'll be home from the hospital & starting rehab after knee replacement on March 17th. I'll be so glad when it's over!

Long term: Ken and I are taking a train trip at the end of the summer.

Oh, there is so much to look forward to! First, spending the weekend with my husband--we'll be planting some apple trees. I am also looking forward to grilling some really good steaks Saturday, and serving them with a new spinach lasagna recipe I found on the cooking forum. Transplanting our tomato seedlings from 4" pots to quarts, checking on the peas coming up, and harvesting lettuce and broccoli this week (my husband would argue about harvesting broccoli as being something to look forward to, but we eat a lot of veggies). I also look forward to going to the coop and seeing how many eggs the ladies have given us.
Long term--more of the same. I am so easily entertained!

I'm looking forward to Spring/Summer.

My dad is 83 today, still in good health and I wish I could look forward to his moving out here to join us. But it is going to take a stick of dynamite and a come-along to get him out of his rut. That said, I look forward to spring and planting, a trip to visit dad in June, taking my grandson this time. I'm hoping that seeing great grandson will get him moving to spent time with us. Told dad I would take up golf if he moved out here. And trust me, that is a HUGE committment (sp?) on my part-I hate golf!

Grandkids :-) Right now I've got step-grandkids (I married them :-) but would love some of my very own!

Saturday, the girls & I are going wedding dress/brides maid dress shopping...just a great mom/daughters day for us! Don't plan to buy anything...just look and have fun trying things on! (unless there is that "Great Bargain" out there!!)

Tuesday we meet at the place the kids will be married at to finalize some things.

There will be lots to do in the next few months, but I like to be organized and get things done long before I have HAVE to...just in case.

Wedding is October 31!

Picking up my new computer with son this afternoon - I had trouble with it the other day, as it would sometimes print letters that I didn't want.

It appears that I had inadvertently punched a key that turned it to a French keyboard ... for a while ... then punched it again, I guess, to make it work " ... the way it should have".

I am looking forward to nice weather so I can get to know the new neighbors. I liked Mr. and Mrs. immediately, and fell in love with their two children. It will be really interesting to have those two around when I am out in the yard. The girl is 2 1/2 and the boy almost 6. They have made me think about what it would be like to have grandchildren. Their maternal Grandma is many hundreds of miles away. Maybe I can fill that void a little for them.

I am also looking forward to my 50th high school class reunion in June. There is a website set up for all the classmates to register on and let everyone know what they have been up to these last 50 years. It has been a lot of fun so far.

Short term: a sunny day. However from our forecast for the next 7 days, this might need to be in the Long Term catagory.

Another short termer: Tonights AI episode. I didn't watch it each night because I get frustrated with waiting - so I TiVoed them this week and when I have them all, it's a binge night of AI! :)

Long Term: I planted a bunch of peony bushes. I'm just dying to see them start to poke through the ground, I've never had one before.

Right now I can hardly wait until spring.....the sun is shining and it's a fantastic 43º out there now. I want to get my hands in the dirt. I've done some winter sowing, but I want to do some seeding under the lights so that should satisfy me for a while.

I'm looking forward to my trip to Halifax at the end of June to help celebrate my aunt and uncle's 60th anniversary.

Then our school's reunion in July. Then spending Christmas with my sister and her family in Ontario in December.

Short term? The morning I don't have to get up and go to a meeting or some other obligation so I can sleep in. I think it's Monday, March 16th!

Looking forward to good friends coming for lunch/visit tomorrow. They're so sweet. They moved back to Cleveland two years ago but spend a little time here in FL in winter.

Next week one of my sisters and DH will visit for an overnighter, I hope. They are taking a well-deserved week off and coming to FL. I really hope it works out they can come, but DH is having surgery to replace his pace maker on the 11th. Sure not looking forward to THAT!!!

Real short term, having coffee with a friend tomorrow, haven't had a chance to catch up with her many weeks. We're both in exciting places in life, starting new chapters, with me about to start my long awaited career, and she finishing her degree after a long wait.

Sooner or later... having my own classroom! I think I'll cry with joy. *I'll* be ready in about 8 weeks, one last test to take March 28. Application is in, resume is written, getting some feedback, soon to be sent/taken to schools. I don't know if the school district is ready for me... there is a hiring freeze for now. Even the new schools are getting their teachers from other schools in the district. Still... it's something to look forward to!! ;o) (That's a really big grin!)

And I'm looking forward to buying some new books for that future classroom next week at our school's bookfair. I've been saving up for this! I love the bookfair. I look forward to the day I'm working at it next week and get to help children choose books.

Warm weather, walked to the parking lot today after work, had training and an 8 hour day today. It was about 50 today.

Looking forward to April 1st so I can start parking in the parking structure across from work. No more waiting on the shuttle bus, having to move my car in the evening or hoping it's not towed on stupid UK game weekends.

Also looking forward to our trip to Germany in four months!! It's been over 19 years since I've been there.

I signed up for an obesity seminar for medical people. It's in a couple weeks. I'm going for myself and to learn something to maybe help my patients.
