Dye eggs. They love it! They can be raw, but I'd recommend hardboiled. lol! Have crayons, waterproof marking pens in different colors, and a little pot of melted paraffin wax, if possible. Have jars of pre-mixed food-based dye (amounts are listed on the food coloring pkg). Decorate by drawing on the egg w/ crayon, or dipping them partially into the pot of melted wax, then dipping in a dye. Draw/dip again, and you'll see different colors (wax displaces the dye so won't take color wherever the wax is). Or pre-dye the eggs and write on them with the markers. Another neat thing is to use gold spray paint to make a "special" egg. :) It's all easier to do than describe -- but if you want more info let me know.

Sorry, you folks have some bad information. Hancock and Moore is 100 % American Made in Hickory, NC. They have a Chinese import line named "Randall Allen" which is NOT American made. All leather hides are imported for all leather makers, and therein may lie the confusion. There are no more American tanneries. Many 'crusts' come from the USA and are shipped to other countries for the tanning and finishing process, then returned to the USA as finished leathers. OSHA and the EPA have effectively closed all US tanneries (its a nasty, dirty business in a tannery). Some hides come from China, some from Germany, some from New Zealand, and some from Italy or South America. But they are all imported. BTW, in my professional opinion, there are NO other makers doing the work to the level of Hancock and Moore. Classic Leather comes close.... If you see "Hancock and Moore" on the label, its made in Hickory NC.

Sasafras the times I remember certain members being called out by name is when they may have recently posted about the same type of situation or project or when the question has to do with a specific area of expertise. We all know my3dogs is the queen of Craigslist shopping and turning bargain, but unique, chairs into a work of art; Mz M is quite talented with her painted furniture projects; Bee is quite the tile expert; the list goes on and on with the helpful, talented people on here. That doesn't mean everyone else is chopped liver. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to call someone out by name if I was hoping for their specific assistance, and I wouldn't make a habit of it, but I would also welcome advice and guidance from others at the same time. That is just understood by most and everyone chimes in if they have something to offer....that's what makes it fun as well as helpful. When I get the time and energy, I am going to call Caroline (Trailrunner) out by name and ask how I can get physically fit and slim and trim at 61 :).
