painting bathroom questions

Our master bath is designed such that it has a "water closet"--a smallish room with only the toilet and shower stall--off the main area. It's vented, but I noticed a few specks of mold on the ceiling. I'm sure the builders (10 yrs ago) just used the same ceiling paint they used throughout the rest of the house (in other words, nothing special--especially not for bathroom use).

So.....I'll use a Q-tip and dab on some bleach water to kill the mold and then I use a "sealing primer", right (I read that somewhere, I think)? Then I'm going to paint the little room.

How long after painting before we can use the shower in that room? The next day? I'll make sure the exhaust vent stays on well past the shower itself, plus keeping the door open and the ceiling fan of the main mstr bath going, etc. Anything else I should consider?

Thanks!

Tracey
