Paint color suggestions for small open living and dining room
Comments (7)A big vote for a basic gray to be used throughout the whole area -- THEN add your orange accents in fabrics, artworks, rugs etc. In time -- and perhaps according to the seasons -- you MIGHT want to switch accent colors -- and this way -- it is easier to do .... Also -- perhaps consider waiting until you can find an inspiration piece -- like an area rug or artwork -- and THEN match the color and shade of gray -- MUCH easier to do in that order! :) For example check out BM Willowcreek #1468 -- a medium (but still fairly light warm gray) .... Hope you don't mind some thoughts!...See MoreLiving room and game room paint colors!! Help please!!

Comments (2)Paint doesn't brighten up a room...light brightens up a room! Make sure you have 3 layers of light - ambient, accent, and task. http://blog.1000bulbs.com/home/the-three-layers-of-lighting-design-explained That said, lighter colors may reflect what light there is, while darker colors may absorb what little light you have. I could say "paint it BM Dove White" but without further context my suggestion is meaningless. A look at the light sources may help. Post photos. Also, the Home Decorating forum is better on color suggestions. Good luck!...See MorePaint colors for small powder room with chair rail and dark wallpaper
Comments (11)what is the flooring going to be? with this wallpaper, I hope you're doing a gold or rose gold finish on the hardware/faucet and lighting. So, you can paper the upper half and do a wainscot below. use white or a dark blue this color and other items in this room would be the perfect match w/that paper with doing the top half and lower paint, you'd be shooting for this type of look I would do an actual wainscot and not just a chair rail. that paper deserves it. or the white or just do one entire wall...See Morelazy_gardens
