yes Ive had the white breast good too although I prefer dark meat...enjoy

I think I might try the white/dark meat roast - no bones for soup but easy peasy prep and cutting.

Anyone else have experience with these roasts??

I've only done the turkey breast version, and I cooked it in my smoker at 225 degrees for three to three and half hours, or until it reached 160 degrees on the thermometer. The smoker has a pan of water at the bottom in addition to the soaked wood chips, and so it steams it while it smokes it.

I think you would need a slow cook method on this to keep it from drying out.

I don't like the injected birds. They get too mushy IMO. Rather get one without all the extra salt & water. I don't find a turkey breast to be a whole lot of work. I cut the rib bones off it now and as I have for decades, pop it in the Nesco with a thermometer probe in it set to 150ð and let 'er go. Once it hits 150ð I can turn it down and get the rest ready, knowing it'll hit 160ð soon and be moist and tender. I usually pull the meat off the bone and it makes for easy slicing, thick or thin depending on how you like it.

I used the turkey roasts (in the pan) a few times. Those were critical on temp to be edible. But frankly, a turkey breast is very little more work and I think a better value. I can't use that slop they have in there with it. I make a pan gravy or out of a jar rather than that gelatin goop.

I try to find the whole boneless turkeys but will use the white meat only if that's all I can find. I rub them/it with olive oil, sprinkle with rosemary and thyme and put FROZEN in my Nesco roaster. They are juicy and so easy to slice.

I bought the white and dark roast and took it out of the box and boy is it puny for the price. Although I look forward to the ease of cutting I don't think I will do this again especially since it is so easy to debone a turkey myself.

Cooked my turkey roast yesterday thought I would give and update. It started small and even shrunk more good thing there was only 3 of us. Very easy to cut. I did add sage to the outside for added flavor but some how it fell short. Very juicy and moist but didn't really taste like turkey. More like turkey roll for making sandwiches not a turkey roast kind of odd. It was good but not turkey. I suppose I thought it would be plain deboned turkey tied together but they did something else that changed the flavor. I have never had a butterball before and wonder if even their regular turkeys taste like that. Going back to real turkey and injecting butter myself with a horse needle.
