Turkey cooking question

I know it's the day after Thanksgiving, but I took advantage of low holiday prices to buy an 11-lb. turkey to cook for myself and the freezer.

It had the usual pop-up timer, which popped up at three hours, well within the recommended time frame for that size turkey, unstuffed. It looks done, but the cavity was filled with red (I assume bloody) liquid. I stuck a fork in the side of the white meat, and the juices ran clear. What's with the blood? And what do you suggest I do now?

Thanks!
