I'm getting the WTs I wanted. Now what color!? Please help.

I thought I'd start another thread since things changed about what my choices are.

I called my hubby earlier and during our conversation the cost of the Canyon Leaves panels came up that I'm drooling over the Ladies Parlor/living room/my den. He thought that each window was going to be forty dollars over the whole budget. No wonder he didn't say go ahead and get them. Not that he said much of anything. News flash, never talk to a man when he's doing anything else even if you think you have his attention. You probably don't.

So now what I need to do is decide for sure what color to get. I'm starting pretty much from scratch on this room. The furniture will be stained a dark walnut though. That I'm sure about.

I do need help in choosing which of the color choices below do you think looks most MCM?

Never mind. I just checked and the Evening Sage is no longer available. I decided to order both the Chocolate Chip and Desert Sand to see which I like best.

What do you do now? Have patients, tend to the weeds, and watch for pests. In my opinion, you probably want to water two or three times per week for the first week, then down to twice a week for the next week or two then, as mudflapper says, once a week should be just fine unless it gets hot. I would increase the frequency of the watering for these first few weeks only because your seedlings need to develop their roots for a bit. However, you should be checking on your soil moisture several inches down. If it still quite moist don't water! When you do water, make sure you are watering deeply (ensure that the water is soaking the soil down to six or eight inches), then trust that the roots will get there. Have patients! Trust the slow release of your fertilizer, but watch for anything strange with your plants, especially off colors. If you get anything that is off color, check back here. If you start to see pests, take a picture and check back here. If other strange things begin to pop up, check back here. Have patients! You will, most likely, start to see some positive changes in many of your seedlings in a few days and most of them within a week. You will see some really dramatic changes at about two to three weeks. Steve Oh, did I mention that you should be patient? It's difficult, but try.

Couple of strong guys and an appliance hand truck and you should be fine. Don't let the weight and difficulty of a one-time move put you off cast iron - it's worth the effort! A buddy and I wrestled a 320lb cast iron tub by hand up a "winder" staircase for my remodel project just last weekend. I wouldn't want to do it again but I'm glad we stayed with the cast iron. (My buddy wasn't too amused when I called him the next day and told him that we needed to return the tub because it was the wrong model - can't understand why he lost his sense of humor over a little ole bathtub.) I have a related question. When putting in a new disposal what DO you need that is not included with the disposal itself? I see all these accessories displayed beside the disposals but no where can I find what is included and what isn't. I do know about the air switch but the flanges is what confuses me. It would be nice if you could find the flange in white. I think it would look best but I don't think the stainless steel would look bad either. When you do a Google search for an Insinkerator extended flage in white several sites come up but I am not sure if this is the exact flange you are looking for. It is available in white. they are not attractive to me at all unless in bloom, which is about two weeks. ron's description of the summer habit with long tentacles going in all directions is spot-on as well as the ground hugging cables that require seriously sharp pruning equipment (not all seem to do this unless you remove too much from the top). the shoots reach a stage that becomes sinewy and don't cut easily. i am still working to eradicate one that i trained as a standard and decided to take out. after i cut the trunk, sprouts started coming up everywhere, running just beneath the surface from the base to 15' away. it may behave well for you in your colder zone and i can certainly see the attractiveness of it but it behaves badly here and is one of the worst exotic invasives we have. the white-flowered form is much more uncommon in natural areas. having said that, here is a photo i took of one at a friends house that he planted after digging it up along a roadside. this one is probably chinese wisteria with the lighter bark and april flowers. should be about 9-10 years old.

They are peach tone on tone stripe right now, but I'll paint them after I decided on which panels I'll be keeping.
After I wrote the I purchased a set of the CC and DS I decided I wanted extra fabric so I ordered one each of CC DS and ES.

I know in the other post you mentioned that you have your rods hung at 91 inches so since you will have to shorten them anyways, why not go 108 long for the same price and then you can get the evening sage.

lyban, that's what I tried to do so I'd have fabric to make pillows, but when I got to the final order page it said they weren't available. Maybe they just don't have the eight panels I need so that's why it shows on the first page they still have them. I've never had that happen before so I could have held them in my "shopping bag" too long to get them all too. Whatever happened it's water under the bridge. I did get one panel in sixty three inch to use as fabric though. I figure it was what was meant to be. The chocolate chip or desert sand should make it easier to find rugs and other accessories. In fact some of which I have already.

What about using the lighter color for 3/4 of each panel, and adding a wide panel of the darker chocolate leaf fabric at the bottom? A custom look, and a great way to bring some darker color into the space to work with the darker furniture.

I really like that idea Les, but it depends on what I can do with the length of the panels and not have to spend a whole lot more. I need a new area rug and really new upholstered pieces too. The ones I have for this room are traditional. Not sure how it will all look together. I like eclectic to the extreme sometimes, but we'll have to see how this looks. I love the two tone idea though. The curtains I made for our daughters room has, through not quite equal portions, three coordinating prints of fabric with a bead trim between the top and middle section.
