mahagony barley twist cabinet door restoration

I've had this for a long time, and always wanted to put some doors back on it. It's from the 20s-40s, and it had 2 sliding doors which I never saw.

It is now at a cabinet hospital and going to get fixed. I'll use it in the dining room.

My gut tells me it would have had plain, all glass doors like this.

which are not the prettiest. With authenticity in mind, I asked the cabinet maker to do something similar, but with a panel at the bottom so I'd have a little room to store some hidden things. He has some nice mahagony that matches and old wavy glass. Here is his concept.

BUT My husband I both keep trying to make some kind of divided pane work, either with or without the panel at the bottom.

I *really* like the doors on this cabinet in the Edison summer, but of course it's a different place and different wood and everything.

Here's an example of rectangular divides.

Here's one that I think looks bad.

I'm afraid the concept doors look like passage or pantry doors rather than cabinet doors.

What do you think? Concept, plain glass, or some kind of divided pane?
