It is pretty! I have some old cane stuff that I imagine collects dust similarly--vacuum it.

You could also put clear glass in front of the mesh which would keep the insides as well as the metal clean. Don't let your plans be spoiled by a little dust!

I was *just* looking at an article online at This Old House about doing this. The say to just order the doors as for glass and then frame out the grill a bit. Very cool! You'll have to bake a pie to put behind it though.

One Crown Point kitchen I installed had twisted mesh stainless steel in the doors under the sink. CP send doors w/o panels, we cut the SS mesh (homeowner-supplied) to fit, and installed with clips. Have a pic somewhere, but doesn't show detail.

These are a tease..now I want them again!! My husband doesn't like the look but I think it looks amazing...the kitchen people said if we change our mind they can always remove the glass and insert the wire though it will be $$$$, beautiful pictures..do you know where you got them I would love to see if the site has more to further entice me..haha.

If you have clean air how will you get dust up there? Is your house air of high quality or is it dusty?

hi and thanks. Well its a very sunny room and I think the kind of room that will show dust easily..on another site, someone said these are major dust collectors which I definely don't want but am drawn to the look....its so pretty and you don't see it everywhere!

The French blue grey cabs and hutches. I'm gaga. So my cabinet subcontactor charged me an arm and a leg (pardon the pun) to add three legs to my island. The slab will overhang by 12" on 2 sides, so three legs were needed. (I preferred legs over corbels.) Anyway, the side cabinets where I want to do the wire have no panels in the two outside upper doors (meant for glass), but the inside upper doors still have panels and I want them out. I guess I could ask him nicely.

Hehe. DO glass for hubby then when he's not home stick in the mesh behind the glass. He might not even notice.

I have them and the dust is bad!!!! Please put glass in front of the mesh or you will forever have a dust buildup and it will always look dirty.

I love the look! I would also be tempted to put glass in front or behind to guard against dust in the cabinets.
