I love PW's website/blog! I have made many of her recipes and ALL of them have been really good. I am also a fellow Okie, and have enjoyed learning how to make classic okie food with a Ree boost of goodness! She knows how to take those few extra steps and make a dish that much better... Like making your own cream of chicken instead of canned. I'm in my late 20's and have been married for only a couple of years, so I enjoy being able to learn different techniques that my mother really didn't teach me... Her being in the generation of everything being convenient and canned for the working woman. Hopefully PW loosens up in the next few episodes, though. She seemed nervous and a bit too scripted. Punkinhead, I also consider myself somewhat sophisticated and not gullible.... And I also know that Obama really is the president. I don't think I've ever met anyone in the last 3 years that thought he wasn't??? Not sure where you live in Oklahoma... Maybe a rural area? PS- Pawhuska, OK (Where PW lives) is only 52 miles from Tulsa. You can definitely find pancetta and wild mushrooms in Tulsa!

I also enjoyed the show & am pleased with the outcome. Am I the only one that thought Bobby looked very tired & not quite himself? I know he's been on a book tour for 'Throwdown' & I don't know when the show was filmed so, hopefully, he was just exhausted & not ill. I loved the pommegranite seeds, thought they looked beautiful & I love those things. It was a favorite holiday treat in my stocking as a kid. I'd make such a mess eating them! :) /tricia

Yup - she likes them high heels. She looked good - the stupid blurry picture doesn't do her justice (or me either, nyuk, nyuk!) Beverly, I doubt she made all that stuff up. You know true life is really more interesting than the movies! Besides, it's just a simple story - but it's her telling it that makes it interesting. She said she is publishing "High Heels and Tractor Wheels" so you KNOW there will probably be a movie. Bring it on. Better that than more frat-humor and vampire films. (Not that I have anything against frat-humor or vampire movies!)

Indeed, the Drummonds have a large holding and the ranch was homesteaded in the early 1900s. The horses bugged me for a long time on PW. It has only been recently she revealed the ranch is paid (alot of money) by the government to care for BLM horses. Until she did so the unitiated would believe the Drummonds took care of the horses out of the goodness of their hearts..which they didn't. That bothered me. I guess because I knew something the average reader did not and could not know until PW enlightened them. At first I got a big kick out of her blog. She made me laugh so much because she didn't take herself seriously. She admitted she was not a country girl and was doing the best she could. Unfortunately for me anyway, that has changed. The whole tone of her blog is different now. She doesn't make fun of herself like she used to. She has also contradicted herself many time in regards to the ranch, her abilities and her participation on the ranch and I don't understand why. Her motto was always 'keepin it real' and I don't see that anymore. I'm just disappointed. I miss the old Pioneer Woman. Lori
