I just read the news blurb at the MH.
I hope her mother can rest. Nothing is going to bring her back. I wish she had a body. I am not sure I'd believe that loser and what he'd said. It would have been so easy for him to call for help for her if that part of his story that she collapsed is true.
Its such a sad, sad story. My gosh I can't imagine what Natalee's mother has been thru.

I just read an account of the video.... Joran said he was not bothered by the whole thing because he had only known her two hours.

That will keep me awake tonight.

I'm guessing he admitted to disposing of her body or???

What really bothers me is that he said he wasn't even completely sure if she was dead or not when they dumped her. If it happened the way he says, I really doubt she was dead. Very very sad. That's probably got to be really hard for her mother knowing that she may have been alive.

The program was shown in Holland on Sunday over a 2 hour period with commercials.

The guy at least admitted Natalie is dead. I hope the family can go on.

Did I just hear on tonight's news that Joran cannot be rearrested? Was this video leaked and that is the reason he was arrested without any new evidence..knowing what was upcoming and then he could not be rearrested??? Something smells very fishy here.

I've only caught bits of this story but, the news said a judge knows of the tape, but he can't be "rearrested". The case that was once closed is now opened again, which seems to be a big deal. The fact that he has admitted he is a liar (Joran claims to just be lying on the tape) is a blow to his defense.

I feel bad for Natalee's mom. I don't know if it will ever be "over" for her. Yes, she divorced. The divorce rate is extremely high for couples who go through a traumatic incident/death of a child.

News, here, tonite, late news, interviewed Natalee's ex step father, and he is STILL very much involved.

I heard that he had given her a date rape type of drug, and most likely when she passed out on the beach he and his friends had sex with her, so that is why they probably didn't call for help for her. And, I doubt she was alive when they dumped her in the ocean. How callus. How cold. I can't imagine having to live with that knowledge, if I was Natalie's mother.

When asked if he tried to help her, he said "Of Course, I tried to help the b*tch!"

This morning on the news they said that the video was going to be allowed in court. So, he will be arrested, but on other charges they have on him.

I'm sure the "friend" that helped is going to sing like a bird now. Hopefully!

I would have been very painful for her Mom to watch. Good for the closure, but so very painful.

I watched the whole 20/20 show last night; he makes me sick. I too think he gave her a date rape drug, had sex with her and she was probably unconcious so he didnt want to get busted by calling the police. I have a feeling she wasn't dead when they dumped her in the ocean, but probably pretty close. The whole thing is very sad. But his attitude makes me sick.

I watched the news program last night. He did not say the Kalpoe brothers took her body out to sea. He said they dropped Natalee and Joran off at the beach, and after she apparently died or had a seizure, he called a friend he identified as Daury to come help him. That friend supposedly took her out to sea in a boat, but they found one person named Daury to interview and he denied it. Said he was out of the country at the time.

Today's paper says the tape is admissable.

I just feel so bad for Natalee's Mom. I could not even imagine if one of my daughters had disappeared like this. Joran's family has been absent for awhile, and with good reason.I just could not believe a child of mine could be so uncaring for another human being.

McCloud and I kept saying through the show that he had slipped her a date rape drug. What a sleeze! And, I'm only using that word because it won't let me post the name I'd like to call him. I too am afraid she was still living when they carried her out into the ocean and threw her overboard. I hope she was unconscious enough not to know her fate.

i watched the entire 20/20 show as well. what a creep. total disrespect and disregard for human life. he made a comment about "he couldn't believe this was happening to him". what an azz.

what made me sicker, and i realize everyone has rights, but when they interviewed his sleeze of a lawyer, who will find every loophole he can get through to make a case for his killer client.

the mother said she long ago realized her daughter wasn't coming back, what she needed was to finally know. as of reviewing that tape, she got the closer, albeit no body to bury, that she needed. she showed great courage while watching that video and she was right when she said that the world will be this kid's jury. everyone knows, based on what was aired, what a disgusting excuse of a man he is.
the mother wouldn't do herself any good to hold on to hatred for this boy, what good would that do for her health and the memory of her daughter. but to have to sit through that listening to how this boy talked about her daughter, so very sad.

i like to believe in what goes around comes around. just hope his is a little more painful and drawn out.

Well, the THING is, that guy will have to live with it the REST OF HIS LIFE!

I am a flight attendant and travel to Mexico, Santo Domingo, Carracus and many other Latin cities. Americans who vacation at these places think that they are safe. The locals prey on Americans. If you go to a nightclub they put the date rape drug in your drink. They then rob and rape you usually in your own hotel. I am sure this is what happened to Natalie. If you have children who are college students please warn them.
