Turning my daughter's nursery into her 'big girl' room

*sob* With #2 on the way, it's time to move my 2 year old from her crib to a "big girl" bed. We bought her this adorable white trundle bed from Costco yesterday for $299. (see link below) Her chest and dresser are black. My MIL made all the pillows in the window seat and curtains and I don't plan on replacing them. So I really need to figure out bedding. We live in a warm climate, so I'm thinking maybe just a pink quilt, coverlet type thing... maybe with some fun sheets? I'm not sure. Any thoughts? I'd like it to be something that can be easily washed if/when needed.

(these pics are her nursery when she was itty bitty... I haven't taken any recent ones but it hasn't changed. I don't have a good pic of the whole room... but can take one if needed) We'll be moving the glider into the new nursery.

Would like to put something on the wall above this dresser.. suggestions?

Thanks!!
