We've had everything from nice oils, to watercolors, to kids' artwork. On canvas and "regular" paper. In both the master bath and in the kids' bath. Some behind glass, some not, but the ones in glass have not been in sealed frames. No worries. I've had some art on fairly delicate paper in sealed frames. No problems. Never had a tapestry in a bathroom. Not out of concern, but just because we never have. We do, however, have decorative fabric "things." I don't even know how to describe them. But no, no mold/odor worries with those. We (okay, "I") did contemplate using fabric as "wallpaper" on our master bath walls. Another option was fabric-covered wood panels in the frame and panel trim in the master bath. It was a beautiful fabric, and with the right paint on the surrounding frames the mockups looked gorgeous. My wife and her friend with the keen eye for design were naysayers at first, but both agreed it looked fabulous. But in the end they nixed the idea due to moisture concerns. Probably a good call on their part. But man, it really looked sharp. Mongo

I would not want those IKEA frames either... I would do a very simple round "silver" frame and stencil or paint curley art nouveau sort of tendrils on the pale creamed coffee walls... That dresser says country to me....not at all Nouveau. I think I would look for a simple plain chest of drawers paint it and have that very clever hubby of yours make some sort of decorative fret work to go on top....then start collecting old hand mirrors and such. I have that exact faucet set but not with a vessel sink. I sometimes get annoyed because I can't fit a small vase under it....or more specifically a plunger....my drain is running slow! For curtains or even a drape on a wall, consider voile tied here and there with bunches of flowers... And wouldn't a Rosetti print be lovely on one wall? Very happy with it....the matt is a bit more yellow than i wanted so i think i might get that changed....maybe Ill leave it for a couple weeks the forget about it :) But im definitely happy with size and all! can i use this on another wall and the use blue as my accent color or do i have stick in these kinda colors now?

The bathroom looks lovely. To reply to your whimsy side, could the hinged frame be made so you can easily replace the image being displayed? Then you could change out the art work, on a whim, by season, to send a message to anyone else who uses the room, etc.
