help with hanging wall art in bathroom
I would like to hang some wall art on the left side wall of the tub in the bathroom. the tile comes up to 54 inches. The space above measure 41x41 inches. What size art can I use and what height should in be hung at in this scenario? also would a landscape type be better to keep it lower?

7 years agolast modified: 7 years agothe size will depend on how much space you want around it. I like the pieces you picked out. if you want to be sure - tape it out with painters tape before you order it. or if you really have trouble visualizing, I had my art handy so I slapped mine in power point to see if I would like it. ( I can' rely on roarah for everything :))

Master Bathroom · More InfoIf you take a straight on picture as linelle mentioned you can try to put the picture on your bathroom on the computer to try it out before you buy it. and to see which orientation you might like. With a square area, I might be tempted by something round too.

Comments (7)I would not want those IKEA frames either... I would do a very simple round "silver" frame and stencil or paint curley art nouveau sort of tendrils on the pale creamed coffee walls... That dresser says country to me....not at all Nouveau. I think I would look for a simple plain chest of drawers paint it and have that very clever hubby of yours make some sort of decorative fret work to go on top....then start collecting old hand mirrors and such. I have that exact faucet set but not with a vessel sink. I sometimes get annoyed because I can't fit a small vase under it....or more specifically a plunger....my drain is running slow! For curtains or even a drape on a wall, consider voile tied here and there with bunches of flowers... And wouldn't a Rosetti print be lovely on one wall? Comments (3)I would look for art that is large and squarish for just over the tub portion. Then i would find a shelf or two of some kind to go over the toilet. not an ugly cabinet, but something that will fill the space but not compete with the art. 7 years agoVery happy with it....the matt is a bit more yellow than i wanted so i think i might get that changed....maybe Ill leave it for a couple weeks the forget about it :) But im definitely happy with size and all! can i use this on another wall and the use blue as my accent color or do i have stick in these kinda colors now?

6 years agoI like the art, but can see K9arlene's point. Do you have enough storage in the space? I always like the idea of having some shelving for towels, a plant or something like that. Something like what's pictured below would fit perfectly and a lot of stores have shelving that's just straight without the edging.
