You've done a wonderful job!!! Good for you!! I can visualize a white terry cloth shower curtain for texture and a towel rack with white terry towels. Over the towel rack I'd like to see a painting with a pop of color that compliments the wall color. Take one of the colors from the painting and put it in few places around the room. You could put a smaller painting on the wall over the toilet and a nice arrangement on the vanity. Keep up the good work.

I love your new light fixture and you did a very nice job of painting your vanity. I think I'd paint the rest of the quarter round/shoe to match the baseboard if I were you. Or if you were me. However that makes sense?

Is the wall color a gray or lavender? It's hard to tell in the pictures.

Can you get electrical up through the wall an put a towel warmer instead of the regular towel rod? There's nothing like getting out of a shower with a warm towel waiting.

Thank you Justgotabme. The light fixture was a great deal at Lowes--last one, beat up box. They took $35 off, even though the light was in perfect condition. :) I'm happy with the vanity. I had intended to paint the quarter round, but our kids have now been off of school since Feb 4th, due to snow, so it's still on my to do list.

The color is actually blue, called Upward SW. It shows gray, which was what I'd wanted, irl.

Mmm...a warm towel, that does sound lovely, esp after the amount of snow shoveling that's been going on here lately! (We're outside of DC, and the darn snow just won't leave us alone!!) I'd have to run that one by my hubby...not sure what he would think. But I sure like that thought!

Looks great! I remember when you posted before. I did a bathroom update 2 years ago and have that same light fixture only with 5 lights. I'm in NOVA and a teacher so hopefully we are going back to school tomorrow. Hope they remembered to plow the playground!

Thanks Denali. We are just over the border in WV, and schools are still closed here tomorrow. Day 8 and counting...I'm thinking we may as well be celebrating St Patrick's Day at this point...Valentine's Day has long been forgotten by my little ones now! What grade do you teach?

Very pretty! Instead of a towel rack in my bath, which isn't all that big to begin with, I used a white wrought-iron stand that has 5 shelves on it sitting in the corner of the tub and wall. The measurement is 5'H x 12"W x 12"D. It's perfect. The top shelf I keep a basket of various soaps, the other shelves hold several shades of bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths which matches the bathroom.

The best part is when we get out of the tub/shower, there's always a clean towel. And the shelf with the towels add nice colors to the bathroom.

The room looks great and is coming along nicely.

If you don't want a towel bar how about a shelf with hooks and drawers?

I just repainted our bathroom after 10 years, but using the same white & tan color scheme I had used previously, with lemon yellow accessories, again as previously.

One thing I did again was to repaint the original white wood toilet seat also in the tan (semi-gloss) as the walls. It held up very well for the past 10 years & adds some color to that area of the bathroom without using the fuzzy cover.

Oh wow, you have had lots of snow in that area. We're in eastern Nebraska and have gotten more than our usual snow this year, but since I don't work, and our children are grown, I'm enjoying it. Perfect for the photo and tree nut that I am. I've gotten some awesome photos I'll be enlarging and having printed as art for our home.
If your hubby has been doing much of the shoveling I'm sure he'll agree. I know we love having warm towels. Even in the summer they feel good when you step out of the warm shower into air conditioning.

It looks really pretty...........my local HomeGoods has many choices of shower curtains, most all under $20 and many of them textured white, or terry white or waffle white. Do you have one nearby?

Yes, lots of snow. I grew up in upstate NY, so the amount doesn't really affect me too much. It is a huge amount for this area of the country though. The roads are mostly cleared, but our school parking lots are still a mess from what I hear, which is why the kids are still home. It's like we're on summer break, but with 20 degree weather! LOL Enjoy your NE winter. Will you share some of your winter photos here? I'd love to see them!! Snow covered trees are gorgeous and do make for some fabulous artwork!

Great bathroom. Very similiar color to mine. Love the heated towel rack idea, but if you don't do that, I would do towel hooks, you can hang more to dry that way, especially if your kids use the bathroom. I would copy and enlarge a favorite photo of your kids to hang above it, maybe a black and white photo in a white frame. I hadn't painted the vanity in my bathroom, but seeing yours sure makes me want to. Great job.

Thanks Joanie. The kids have their own bathroom, so it's just my hubby and me. I like the hook idea as well. I guess I need to check out a few websites for ideas of what exactly I should do. I have turned a few pics of our kids into black and whites and have blown them up and framed them. I have one in our hall bath down stairs of my daughter looking out onto my inlaw's lake last summer. I'm always trying to get pics of the kids or of nature to turn into artwork for our home.

The vanity was a cinch to paint. Wiped it down, did a very light sanding, and then did a white primer. I used SW paint for cabinetry-two coats and it was done. Very easy and I'm pleased with the outcome. It's such a small master bath, that I wanted to lighten it up to make it feel a little larger, which I think it has done. Good luck if you decide to do yours!

Our roads are mostly cleared, it's the parking lots at schools that are bad. I guess, too, each school has to have a group of engineers come out to be sure that the roofs are safe before the kids can go back. Northern VA had a part of a school's roof cave in a few days ago.
