haunted by child that is not mine
Comments (11)The original post reads like a romance or gothic novel written by an aspiring adolescent soap opera writer. Language is melodramatic ("Haunted" sounds like the child is dead) intense level of rage has been sustained for years on end, other people in the story are cardboard cutouts with no opinions & no behaviors other than those relating to OP (other than MIL who took the child in, & after all, you have to have some kind of antagonist to have a story at all, even in a gothic novel). We are asked to believe that the child's mother willingly gave up her child to stay with this guy & has stayed with him all these years even though he's been embarrassingly petty & horrible, cutting people out of photos, etc. OP's vindictiveness & rage are extreme, & yet he supposedly has lived for years in a situation he finds abhorrant, with a wife he despises, rather than leaving & making a happy life for himself....See MoreDoes anyone peri have this weird head feeling?
Comments (318)i started having these same issues in January this year. have had hypothyroidism for a few years but with levo always felt fine . symptoms lasted about 6 weeks and everything stopped one day in February and felt like myself again. Until June when they started back up and still going strong now. I’m 47 and my gyno tested and confirmed with blood test I’m peri. i have an iud so havent had a period in 4 years. Some days i have a huge headache and then others I have the Foggy head feeling that is so bad to describe. gyno would not talk about hrt without me seeing a neurologist which he says Im not having migraines and okd hrt. Odd thing is one day when my ear started to hurt took an Allegrad and it took away the head fog within an hour. Unfortunately that didn’t last. I did for about a month but still had headache. Now the Allegra isnt helping with anything. I’m waiting to see an ent because I feel like my sinuses are so full been an antibiotic for a few days and dI want seem to help either. I’m sure the ent will not have anything to say. Ive had a nurse practitioner mention AD which I’m not really for but will as a last ditch effort. Husband doesn’t really get it and that makes me feel more alone which just makes me cry more. going to ent and if nothing there going to try hrt and AD. scared to death of something serious to but nerologist didnt see any need for ct scans or mri. i also get these weird eye/head feeling on occasion when watching fast moving things or really shaky scenes when the camera is moving. I’m not dizzy and can’t explain how I feel other than I have to shut my eyes to focus. So scary!! I think if I could just come to grips it’s peri symptoms I’d be able to deal. Oh been very stressed at work for about two years but that is lessening as I finally have help. Was hoping with help and less stress I’d be better but no such luck. Thanks for listening. brings me some comfort that others deal with the same symptoms...See MoreSomething feels weird with this kitchen layout... help!
Comments (11)If you put seating at a raised bar on the peninsula, you won't need seating on the island, which will give you more space between the kitchen and family room seating, but that would take away space from the DR. I don't like to put wall ovens in the middle of the work space, but you need a landing space, and putting the vertical column between the clean-up sink and the cooking surface would be a bad idea, IMO. The ovens are represented by the red outline on the next plan, but you'd need to make sure the fridge door doesn't hit the oven handles--some fridges have a built-in door stop on one of the hinges, set to stop the door at 130°. Personally, I'd prefer them on the other side of the fridge, which would also solve the problem of the fridge being against the wall, but there would be no adjacent landing space, which is not recommended by the NKBA. In that case the prep sink could be placed on the other end of the island, to leave landing space for the oven. Or, the prep sink could be omitted, because the fridge would be closer to the clean-up sink, which would also give you another drawer bank in the island. (And your husband will be happy. ;) I drew optional windows on each side of the cooktop/range in this plan, which would bring in some light, but that would eliminate the only upper cabinets in the kitchen, and I don't see a pantry. In the plan on the right, I m/l flipped the kitchen and DR (it looks off because the original pic is canted). You'd definitely have to reduce the depth of the island, and this layout would put the fridge near the LR FP. I'm not sure how a full wall would work in that spot. You'd need to eliminate the wall oven to include a pull-out beside the fridge, if there's a full wall on that side....See MoreNow this is weird...very weird...
Comments (81)" For me it's just science we don't understand yet....such as quantum entanglement ... or what Einstein called "spooky action at a distance." Just because we don't understand it doesn't mean it doesn't exist." I think you have it backward. Until something can be demonstrated and reproduced "to be", or to be shown that something "is" or "does", the default is that "it isn't" and "it doesn't". A hypothesis or theory is false and non-existent until proven. It's not that it's assumed to be true until disproven. Put into something more familiar - the theory of evolution of species is accepted today because of the evidence and investigations that have proven and substantiated the hypothesis conclusively. It wasn't the case that the theory was suggested and viewed as being "true" until it was disproven. That would be backward. If someone wants to disbelieve evolution as a matter of faith, that's a belief that contradicts the science. As would be believing in supernatural phenomenon - its existence hasn't been demonstrated so that the default is that its existence is unproven and assumed to not exist....See Morekframe19
