Wedding pictures - HELP please

I'm trying to figure out how to post picture of my son's wedding. I've uploaded my pictures to photobucket and now I'm lost. Do I need a code to put in for the cooking forum? How do I get them there????? I'm so computer challenged!!!

Nope. Go to your photobucket account, put your cursor over the picture you want to post. A box will "drop down" with four selections. Select the HTML box and copy, then paste into your post here. You'll have to have both windows open.

You'll just get text and numbers but when you hit preview, you'll see the picture.

did that make sense?

Thanks Annie, I'm going to give it a shot! I may be back asking you questions. I would have called you or emailed but I don't have numbers or addresses.

When you sew the loop side on, take a piece of fabric doubled to the size you want and sew it on with the loop tape. That will be on the inside and provide a tab. You can read articles about this by googling it. Here is one. Here is a link that might be useful: Bridal dress sewing

Of course I agree with sweeby and gellcom. I don't know if this is the type of advice you are looking for or not. But my husband has some very unpleasant relatives who are deliberately rude and hurtful just because it's funny to them to make fun of others. When we have to be around them, I focus (before the event and during) on how wonderful my husband is. I remind myself that going to the event, smiling, not reciprocating the unpleasantness is my gift of love to him. Whenever they are mean, I just fix a picture in my head of the wonderful things my husband does for me and concentrate on that. The last time I was at my SIL's house, I went over to the sink and washed the dishes so my back would be turned to all her friends, so they wouldn't see me if I started to cry while they laughed at me. Honestly, the only way I got through that evening with a shred of dignity was to be thankful over and over for my wonderful husband. That and prayer. I tell you that to let you know that I understand what it's like to be in a very painful situation where people who should love you and be kind instead act cruelly with seeming impunity. It's a hard place to be. Fortunately my husband has said no more. But rising above the situation carried me a long way for a long time, and I'm glad I did it as best I could. I'm also glad I don't have to do it very often anymore! Good luck with the wedding!

yes, they can inscribe a watch. Sic your brother on the task of looking at the watches she's got, bcs people sometimes have strong preferences about: -style of numbers (some people really want every little number on there; some hate Roman numerals, others like them; some people are OK w/ tic marks only, and some are OK w/ no number, or only the big 4--12,3,6,9) -second hand, or no second hand? -shape of face (though people don't have as strong a preference as they do for stuff like second hands, numbers, etc.) Then he'll really be involved in the gift. 25th anniversary is silver; I'm not sure how easy it is to get a sterling-silver or silver-plated watch. And that's anothe area in which people have strong preferences--some people only like gold tones, others prefer silver; others don't care. He should look in her jewelry box (or better yet, on her wrist & neck & ears, bcs sometimes people HAVE stuff but don't WEAR it), and see if she has a preference. It'd be a shame to buy her a watch she never wears.

Take your Agavoides out of the water. This could start problems. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a bag of perlite and cactus mix. Idk where you live, but if you can I find pumice I personally think pumice is better than perlite, but perlite will do the job:). Get terra cotta pots. They should have drainage holes. Most people want to get pretty glazed pots, but those glazed pots don't allow for evaporation. Also don't get huge pots. Get appropriate sizes. Most succulents like to be crammed for space:). A mixture of 60% perlite or pumice with 40% cactus mix is good. The mix will be really light, but that's what you need for drainage and airflow. The one with roots just plant into the mix. Start off with morning sun and afternoon shade. In its condition I would give morning sun for awhile. That may be enough to keep it compact. I would water this one in 3 days. Always make sure the mix is dry before watering again. I mean all the way dry. Not just the top inch:). Easy way to check is with a wooden skewer. Put the skewer all the way down the pot. Keep it there for a couple mins. If that thing comes up damp anywhere, no water. The others should callus over, out of water for a few days. Then you can set on top of some mix. No water till roots form. Keep these guys in filtered light. No direct sun. Once roots form you can begin to water and start with morning sun. Don't go lifting everyday looking for roots. This will slow down the process. People always ask "how will I know roots are there if I don't look?". You will know the plant will perk up, and most likely start getting new growth in the center:). If I missed anything or your confused just ask. Hopefully you will be able to keep these special plants for a long time. Goodluck:). Most if not all succulents don't need water to produce roots. These had zero water.

Karen, I'm leaving here for the farm in about two minutes, the storm last night left some fallen branches and I have to check the fence. We had winds of 75 MPH here and I think it was worse down by you. At least I didn't lose power here in town....

It didn't work Annie. I put my curser over the picture and there is no drop down box. Nothing happens. What now?

lakemayor, when you put the cursor on the picture in photobucket a drop down box "should" appear.

On My screen the first thing under the picture is an empty box- click on the empty box. A check mark will be in the box now.

Scroll down to the bottom of your photo bucket page and on the right will be four blue boxes. Click on the one that says "generate HMTL and IMG code.

This will take you to another page of boxes with codes inside them. left click on the second box, the code will be highlighted in blue, then right click- a box will open -select copy.

Then go to your forum post and left click, this will open a small box -select paste. Your post will contain the code.

scroll down your post and select preview message. Your picture should show up then.

This is how I do it, hope it helps!

AB, we had a heck of a storm here too; hope your damage is minimal.

Lakemayor, go to your Photobucket account. Place your mouse over your chosen image. Left-click on it. The photo will pop up, with four selections appearing on the left side of the image.
Left-click on Direct Link until the box is highlighted and the word "Copied" appears.

Start a new thread here. To display your photo, Right-Click in the message box to paste the url.

Place the URL of your image within the following code, (leave a space between IMG and SRC), like this:

Hooray, it worked! Great pictures, Karen.

Sol, I had some tree branches down on the fence line, Dave cut them up with the chain saw for me and Amanda and I dragged them out of the way. The animals were all safely contained, they didn't even try to escape. I guess they must like it where they are, LOL.

Lots of people still without power, though, and the hail might have nicked up the pumpkins and peppers, but all in all, the damage was pretty minimal. Somehow that first storm of fall always catches me by surprise, a preview of what the Witch of November will do.
