Do you paint?

There is a place back home called Painting With A Twist that my sister had been to a number of times. When I went back home to get married, that is where we had the bachelorette party and it was a blast! Since I painted in that class my creativity has jumped back into it's "on" mode. lol Here are a couple of paintings I did this past week.

The lemon painting is one I did while on webcam with my sister. So it is possible to paint with someone across the country! (Alaska & Florida for me and my sister)

The heart painting is one I did last night just because I wanted to. :)

Does anyone here paint?

I had in my mind the answer of YES, but then I saw your pictures and I realize, I have to say no.

I paint walls, furniture, just one coat, no pretty pictures....

Love your paintings!! I have painted ever since I can remember, just something I have always done and it is very enjoyable. Glad you got creativity back. Sometimes I switch out hobbies to switch gears and give a boost...but painting has always been my first love/hobby.

You can do just about anything you want, but, my preference is to have all doors in the house match, even the interior of the outside doors, regardless what color the outside of the exterior door is. I dont like mismatched.

Ignore the picture rail, and paint as wall color and wall finish. Your ceiling will look higher. Whites and all colors are specific to YOUR exposures and lighting. Can't help on that : ) Test in several areas at different times of day

I would use caution using a strong color paint in an open plan home. Sometimes it's hard to find a place to stop the paint color. Paint the ceiling white. These paint colors are a bit softer and you may find them easier to live with long term. And sometimes the best location for the color is on the accessories instead of the walls.

Is that the kind of place you paint at then they glaze it and fire it??? Or are you painting on canvas???

I took all 3 gkids when the baby was 9 months old to the glazing type place and we did the big kids hand prints and the baby's foot print for mom and dad really cute~~~

I love your paintings--especially the background of the first one. Unfortunately, the only painting I do is the same as Moni. Don't have a creative bone in my body.

@lunchlady: It's painting on canvas. I'd love to do the glaze type...but not sure what I'd do for that one. lol

Thanks for your compliments...but I'm not that great of an artist...the heart painting covers up my horrible attempt at sunflowers. What is behind the heart painting, stays behind the heart painting. LOL

I do on crafts and things and I also do some scenery pictures. We have Bob Ross here on PBS and I still like to watch him every Saturday that I can. I wish I could paint like him. My mother was an artist and when she passed away there was enough of her pictures for all of us children to get one or two. My son also paints.

I use to but due to other obligations in the last few years I haven't been able to.My last projects were painting on gourd birdhouses.I really love doing those and plan to take some gourds back to NM to paint.I do landscapes,old barns,florals and butterflies in canvas in oils and also watercolors.I have also done all kinds of craft painting.I have loved to draw since I was a child and enjoy painting a lot.

Everytime I watch David Bromstad (HGTV Color Splash) paint I think, shoot I can do that.
But I usually come to my senses before I waste money on supplies.

I do a little every now and then. This is a gourd I painted a few years ago. You can click on the photos to see and read more about it.

I also do all the painting in the house.. Woody thinks it's a race and goes too fast and gets a little messy, so I do it myself.
