Nita and Carol S Florida Visit (picture heavy)

I was EXTREMELY privileged today to spend a few hours with (in my humble opinion) two of the loveliest, kindest, bestest ladies I know - Nita and Carol!

We had a delicious lunch, and even more delicious conversation! There were a few people that we missed, (and you know who you are, lol!, and we DID miss you!) but all-in-all it was just a wonderful afternoon - put a smile on my face that I'm sure will stay for days :-)

The only sad thing is we only seem to be able to do this once a year - I'm already looking forward to next time!

This is very interesting. I suspect he tried to sell his formula to some big company but was not successful. (Imagine computers or tv sets that looked like fairy houses on the outside, lol.) Sure would be useful to us crafters, if its not too toxic. If it looks good, maybe we could order ingreadients regionally and split the cost (EG if any one else in NH VT or MA wanted them I could be in such a group.) I guess I don't object to paying for the formula through his dvd's. When you invent something and spend a lot of time, naturally you want to get paid. Right now I have too many other projects and winter is coming, but maybe in the spring... Kathy

Thank you for your prayers and concern! Made my day! This has been a crazy winter with record snowfall....over 70 inches in 3 weeks. Yes, over 40 roofs of businesses have collapsed in Spokane which is the city near us. Some of the places were large businesses like a large grocery store and a fitness club. We have the National Guard in our school district today shoveling off our school roofs. We could hear them up there all day long. BLESS THEM! This is our first day back...3 days off and 2 days prior to Winter Vacation. The snow has now turned to rain which has left a mess all over the state with flooding. A very unusual winter...as you know our hot water tank went out and then our pipes froze and bursted. Like I told Carol though, we have each other and no one has been hurt in our family. I've been clearing off our roof to make things safe. There was so much snow up there! It was HEAVY snow too! I hurt all over! :oO Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers! Thank you Donna! I can't believe its been five years since I got the seeds. I thought it was three years. Thank you for the list. I do have the list as I wrote it down, problem is I don't know which plant is what! The labels were blown away by my lawn guy over the years. I guess I'll try to find images online. I'd like to move the bunch growing in the shade of a tree. They have never bloomed and are much smaller. Is this a good time to dig up the bulbs? I'm in Florida so the weather is warm in the 80's. I'd love to move them now to the spot where I put the others. They are twice the size and in full, hot sun. Amazing. Today I noticed another scape/spike on the coral one. It has two fat buds. This is so exciting, I love how pretty they both are. Thank you so much for the thrill! Jane

Great pictures! I agree with Moni that Nita is the BESTEST. I learned that in 2002, when she and Bobby visited us...and I hope we are on her trip list for the near future.

I'm hoping to meet up with Nita and Carol on Wednesday for lunch in Venice, FL. Just waiting for a confirmation call!
BUT, now I know what they look like! Will have to be sure to get a few pics!
