I have swanstone, same thing, different company in my old home.

I installed it 7 years ago when we built in the kitchen. I love it. It has withstood 7 years of pets, children and all sorts of abuse and still looks as good as it did originally.

Granite would probably look pretentious in this house. I'd have to redo the whole house to blend it in.

I did at my home before we moved here.I had off white it stained.I didnt like it,now granite yes.

They put Corian countertops in when they remodeled the office catering kitchen a few years ago. I can't stand it - it never looks or feels clean, no matter how much you clean it. I will never put that in any house of mine.

I know granite is the "in thing" right now but I love corian. I love how warm and tactile it feels under your hand. I never cared for how hard and shiny granite is. IMO it's personal choice, every counter will have it's own set of pros and cons and what it boils down to is iwhat you like. Someone who just doesn't like a material will have all kinds reasons for why it stinks but it's just personal preference. I find it hard to believe that off white corian stained, I had off white corian in the kitchen of my first house and I came home from europe to find 6 week old marinara sauce sitting on it and it came out with a little soft scrub and a green scrubbie.

i had formica for 20 years, harvest gold, and although it looked and held up great, i was ready for a change in my new "old" kitchen. i went with light gray corian which looks great next to the chrome on my 1952 frigidaire stove "stovezilla". granite would of been too "high class" for this old house plus "everyone is doing it" so of course, i have to do something different. i really like the intrical sink, no more "kitchen goobers" to clean out around a metal rim.

We had Corian countertops and liked them. But I *hated* the integrated sink. Looked stained all the time, and whenever I did dishes in the sink, Corian cooled the water to lukewarm, no matter how hot it was out of the tap.
