That's a beauty!!! There's nothing like a fresh blueberry pie. I made one about 10 days ago from local berries.

Ooooo...pretty! Can't wait...they're late here. My little bb plants will give us a handful, but no real harvest for another year or two, so we will hit the u-pick. This weekend we had to pacify ourselves with a huckleberry cream pie.

I resisted opening this thread, ..for a while. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Blueberry pie is my all time favorite, and yours are always so beautiful. This one does deserve all the accolades DCArch attributed to it. It's one thirty and now I'm hungry. Rice Krispies just don't sound like a good substitute. Moan.....

Ontario blueberries are at their best and I'm intending on getting a bunch this weekend at the farmers market....but damn they surely don't give them away :(

Anne, do you think it would be too much bother to cut a small slice, package it well and send it to me? I don't like blueberries at all, and bb pie is hubby's very favourite, so alas, he doesn't get to eat it often. Perhaps at a restaurant, but of course they don't taste as good as yours would.

Are they wild or cultivated? Looks like a great pie.

Another type of pie that I've never had!! I only ever had blueberries after moving to California, and lately I've grown quite fond of them and am thrilled when they are in season, although still expensive here. I'll just have to imagine what a blueberry pie tastes like!!

My guess is that they are wild blueberries.

It really was good. I took it next door and shared it with our neighbours.

They are from a local blueberry farm so they are not wild. Lots of flavour though. Not sure how the price compares to Ontario or elsewhere, but these were on special for the last two days for $9.99 for a five pound box. $2.00 a pound is about the lowest price I've seen them for.

I bought another box today.

We stopped by the bb farm today and they are just starting to pick. They had picked-this-morning berries in the fridge so I grabbed a gallon for $15. It was shopping on the honor system. I love it...take your fresh or frozen berries from fridge/freezer in the shed and leave payment in the box. If you don't have change, no matter, there's plenty of cash in the box.

I recently became addicted to blueberries. I put them on everything to a point that now it is upset my stomach. Too much of the good is sure bad!

Your pie looks so delicious and beautiful! Is there any home for sale next to yours? I wanna be your neighbor :)

We don't really have the climate here for blueberries :-( When available they're about $4-5 for a 4oz punnet. Too expensive for pies (or most things really :-( )
