Daughter With Cancer

Things are going well so far. Stacey had her first cemo last Thursday. She will have 4 rounds with 2 weeks in between them. After 4 weeks they will do some testing and follow up with more cemo. Probably 30 radiation treatments after all the cemo is completed. Stacey is a school teacher. Her school has been wonderful to work with her. She plans on working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with her cemo on Thursdays. They have told her the day after the treatments are usually good but the couple days after is when she will not feel well. Our other son-in-laws sister, Kelly, has been battling cancer for quite some time. She had stacey get all her records together and she took them to her oncologist. He read through them and told his nurse to have her in his office at 12:45 that afternoon. Stacey was thrilled and feels so safe with him. Kelly is doing cemo right now and their doctor has set it up for Stacey and Kelly to do it side by side. Kelly is an awesome gal and I know she will help Stacey so much. We all know we have a long way to go but we will get there. Stacey has a wonderful little girl,Sara, and a fabulous hubby that is terrific to help. Ron has always been one to help cook and clean along with his working wife. They will make it!!

Thanks so much for your kinds words and prayers. They help so much.. I will keep you posted.

Susie
