woven/bamboo shades-inside or outside mount?
Comments (5)I'm not planning on adding drapes for either room, just the shades. MCPS, thanks for the photo- that's fairly similar to one of my guest rooms, which has 3 windows in a row, with the middle one being bigger. I think those 3 windows will definitely look best with an inside mount, but I wasn't sure for the other window I described below. I did check overstock.com, but I'm looking for shades that have a privacy liner in them. Mcps, do the ones at BB&Beyond include liners?...See MoreInside or outside mount for roller shades?
Comments (5)Outside will allow you to clear the window better than inside mount. But outside mount will cover any woodwork on the window so it won't show. Inside mount will expose the woodwork around the window all the time, adding an extra band of color to the space, but it will block more of the window. Up to you...either works....See MoreShould roman shades be inside or outside mounted here?
Comments (9)If you decide to not go with a liner, you will certainly see the seams regardless of inside or outside mount. It helps to grab some samples as different materials can be more transparent than others. You can get a light liner (or privacy liner) that will protect your cording and give you a little light protection, slightly hiding where the pleats connect. https://www.selectblinds.com/romanshades/classic-light-filtering-roman-shades.html...See MoreRoman shades for trimless window
Comments (3)Inside only if it's deep enough to accommodate the header, and it depends on what the window and room require in terms of proportions....See Morechristine25
