Pink glassware, what is it?
Comments (4)Linda's right. And one finds pink pieces often. Once you've seen depression glass you can often just tell it is by the thickness, pattern and look of it. Modern pieces tend to be not so delicate. Nice depression glass plates and sets have an almost delicate look to them. I have a serving set in pink depression glass and I use it......NOT! LOL One needs to be careful on guessing age by when somebody acquired a piece. Even though it was given to you thirty years ago, it may have set in somebody else's cupboards for thirty years. God knows I have some thirty year old pottery I still use or have stashed in my everyday kitchen cabinets I'll someday donate or give to a young person starting up housekeeping. And that means it already had a few decades on it when they acquired it....See MoreCan you ID this depression glass?
Comments (1)Hi Elly I believe they were made by Federal Glass Co. In my Gene Florence depression glass identification book he shows an "ad" with amber "Sharon" (the pattern I collect) and it also shows these bowls. I don't know if they are specific to a certain pattern or just made by Federal for general purpose. A little off topic, you posted to my post about the kidney failure with my cat. Thanks for all the help! Abby is doing remarkably well! It is good to have caring people around when you need them! ;-)! Crissy...See MoreHelp in identifying stemware/glassware

Comments (10)Ok...I think I know what it is....it's Century by Fosteria....circa 1950. Of course it's worth something, its' fine crystal! But ti seems to be a drag on the market on eBay....likely due to the cost of shipping. You should have an average of $10 to $15 a piece for the stuff. Lots more for some of the serving dishes and the goblets, but less for the sherbets as no one seems to want them. If you really want to sell it, find a dealer who will give you say $250 for the lot....or find a consignment shop and price it out to them. Or keep it and use it....or give it a piece or 2 at a time as a wedding gift... It's very nice! Linda C Here is a link that might be useful: century...See Moreteacats
