Identification of Inherited Glassware

My mother passed a few years ago and willed me a lot of stuff. I have around 30 pieces of this glass. My brother said it was fenton. I do not find anything similar to it though.

Any ideas?

The pattern on plate looks like Lariat,Blank 1540, A.H. Heisey & Co. with those loops but didn't think they stuck up quite that much. The goblet is different shaped than the Lariat ones but they may have had several shapes. The footed compote isn't Lariat, as Lariat has loops all around. I am confused....is the glassware etched, or just very dusty?
The gardenia dish is Lariat....can you see a mark on the bottom? Should be a diamond with an H inside.
The goblet may be lariat....I can't see the stem that well.....and the compote is not.
Lariat was made in both pressed and blown. They both have the signature loop around the edge or down the sides of some pieces, but the stem on the pressed pieces is different and they are heavier....and less expensive. And some Lariat was etched or decorated in another way.
What else of that glassware do you have?

I couldn't get the link to work either. How tall is the rose? Is it compact and bushy, or gangly? You might want to go to Help Me Find, and click on Search, and type in "Dr. Huey", and see if it looks like your rose. I say that because neglected red roses often turn out to be that rose - it was/is used as rootstock, and sometimes the top rose dies and up comes Dr. Huey from the roots. If so, it is a once blooming climber, and I have seen lovely plants of it - it seems to do better on the East Coast than out here. What ever it is, if a neglected rose were mine here's what I would do: Cut off all of the dead canes. Cut it back to shape it if it needs it - don't take off anymore than 1/3rd of the bush. Mulch it - at least 2 inches of mulch all around it, but not touching the canes in the middle. Water it well. Find out what folks do in your area to winter protect their roses - I have no idea about that, as we hardly ever get even frost here. In the Spring, when it starts to put out new growth, feed it - just get any rose food (without anything else in it like poisons - just food), and follow the instructions. Then you should get more flowers in the Spring, and you can see if you want to keep it. Take pictures of the Spring bloom, and post them here, and someone will be able to tell you what/who it is. What a variety of memories here.... Funeral blue, l love that! Yes, friend and I were flabbergasted, shocked, amazed--- take your pick from the thesaurus under "astounded." The backstory is even weirder. My father had a massive stroke at age 60 and never walked or spoke again. He lived nine years longer, seven at home with a live in male nurse and the last two in a nursing home. He always wanted his body to go to Emory medical school, where our family has many ties, as a cadaver in the anatomy lab. When making the arrangements after his death, the school told us they would cremate the body after they were finished with it for educational use and send the ashes back. I was the only one who actually wanted them so it was agreed they would come to me. But a year later the were FedExed to my brother by mistake. Said brother called me to let me know he was forwarding them, but had decided that he wanted to keep a portion of the ashes himself. For some reason that struck me as the oddest thing...to say there had been lifelong sibling rivalry between us would be a gross understatement, and I felt at the time that he was just making sure I did not get something that he didn't also have. And a year later he was also dead, very suddenly and unexpectedly, of a heart attack. And that's when I found the filed ashes in the ziplock bag. Too bad I didn't find them before I delivered the eulogy at his funeral.... talk about an ice breaker. We finally settled on a columbarium in a beautiful mountain garden for both my father's and brother's ashes. But none of the rest of the fam knows I still have my share!

I have 37 pieces of the same stemware. Appraised as *heavy 24k gold inlay. Surprisingly sold as depression ware during the 1930's when pure gold was about $12. per ounce. Definitely a period piece(s). As to valuation...your guess as good as mine. *As opposed to the later thin period gold plating.

I wonder if the definition (antique vs. vintage) is different for furniture as opposed to other things like the glasses? Not that it mattersÂas IÂm not selling any of it! I was carefully washing MomÂs crystal last night after everyone went to bed. DH had offered to help me after dinner. But yesterday morning I had gone to check itÂs value online and found those glasses were pretty pricey at Replacements! Fortunately I remembered the name of both the china and the crystalÂa miracle, really. I figured if I broke one myself I could only be mad at me. I plan to print out what I have found on these and the china and keep it in a folder in the cabinet. IÂm glad Mom had the forethought to give these to me about 2 years before she died in 1996. She and my Dad just showed up at my house one day with boxes, minimally labeled. I had no china cabinet then and toddlers running around. (Two toddlers who threw furniture, I might add in my defense. Not like docile little me at that age.) I cleared off a shelf in the basement and thatÂs where they stayed for 12 years. Now I wish I hadnÂt waited so long to display them. I was keeping them "safe" I guess: then time got away from me. Casualty of being self employed (overwork) and raising kids. Meanwhile my kids have no memory of these lovely things the way I do: Mom and Dad always used their china and crystal whenever they had guests. They both had large families so that was often. I remember washing these same glasses many times for family parties. Now they are all gone. My cousins are all disbursed in many states and few even have children. Gosh, IÂm getting maudlin. Warning to meÂuse it, appreciate it. Enjoy what you have. DonÂt keep beauty in the basement.

I just uploaded some more pics. They were dusty. I also noticed 3 mold/ridge marks on the glass where they had been formed if that helps.

You've got 3 things going on....pictures 12 through 18 are one pattern, not Lariat....and may well be Fostoria, Imperial or another glass of the period.
The engraved goblets are something else....think they would be called iced tea glasses, then there is that gardenia dish in Heisey Lariat.

ok... I see the "tea glass" thing. So I have tried to seperate the other 2 styles... I now have all the goblets together. And I have the other style together..

Now I am seeing stuff you didn't show before...wines, sherbets and water goblets in some pattern that I can't see well enough to tell if it's the same as all the serving dishes. 6 of 3 and 5 of another.
Plus those etched goblets which are another pattern altogether...
AND....that Lariat gardenia bowl.

Ok.. got one more try with the goblet pattern... By The Way... I found 3 medium sized plates that match the others too... Is any of this worth anything?

Ok...I think I know what it is....it's Century by Fosteria....circa 1950.
Of course it's worth something, its' fine crystal! But ti seems to be a drag on the market on eBay....likely due to the cost of shipping. You should have an average of $10 to $15 a piece for the stuff. Lots more for some of the serving dishes and the goblets, but less for the sherbets as no one seems to want them.
If you really want to sell it, find a dealer who will give you say $250 for the lot....or find a consignment shop and price it out to them.
Or keep it and use it....or give it a piece or 2 at a time as a wedding gift...

I can't see the whole of the iced tea glasses to tell....perhaps send a picture to replacements and ask.
