I need some advise

After researching many washers I was impressed by the Speed Queen's 3 year warranty so I thought I would take a chance and buy one. I had a Maytag that lasted only 5 years so I wanted a good one. I washed a load of towels and wash cloths the day that they delivered the washer. They first thing I noticed is that the towels were considerably wetter (than in my Maytag) when the final spin was finished. So I thought I would try another load. This did the same thing.(I found that I had to restart it at the spin cycle to get out the extra water) I also noticed that my dryer took a lot longer to dry the loads and in some cases the loads were still damp when the dryer shut off. I immediately called the dealer and the next day they sent out their repairman. He said that the spin seemed to check out ok, but he also agreed that the towels were damp. We turned on the spin cycle again and he saw how much water came out the second time. He acknowledged that also. Today the dealer called and said they were sending another repairman from a different dealer to check out the washer. I have the feeling that they are going to try and get out of having to replace this washer by sending this new repairman out to tell me that it is working according to specs. Does anyone have any advise on how to handle the situation?

I'd see what they say before getting all worked up over it. The one said it wasn't right. You can't plan for every contingency. I assume the checked that you weren't overloading it. As for the dryer, does the capacity match the washer? That will make a big difference.

I told him to get a reel mower (bought a 10 blade push of some sort). He now cuts it at 3/8". It looks much better, but still not like a putting green. I'm thiking you need one of the industrial reel mowers (like golf courses) where the reels almost "float" just above the ground when cutting. You are on the right track, you really need something above a reel mower for this grass, you need a Putting Green Mower, which is a reel type, a very expensive reel type like $5 to $20K expensive new. Mini-Verde performs best between 1/8 and 3/16 of an inch, and is extremely high-maintenance requiring multiple vertical mowing and top dressing per year to control thatch, not to mention once a week fertilizing. This stuff is for high-end golf course putting greens and not for home gamers.

Catlady15, PB is correct that you should be asking yoru dr these questions. Normally your gullbladder stores and releases bile, which was made in the liver, after you eat a meal that contains fat. The bile helps you digest the fat. After your surgery your liver and area around where your gulbladder used to be, will hurt if you eat foods rich in fat. so as your dr probably said, you should stay off fat for awhile. you should never feel bad if you are doing something like not eating high fat foods when you are recovering from gullbaldder surgery. this is your health and it is more important than pleaseing someone. you just need to explain to your family that right now you can't eat high fat diet for medical reasons. i am sure they will understand. Like i started out saying, you should talk to your doctor for a post surgery consultation and check up. make a list of questions you have before you go for that visit, but dont wai to see the dr. best of luck

Hi MM, If your roses are relatively newly planted, then they are only "babies" and have not handled the stress of the hot weather very well. Their root systems are not fully established to be able to take advantage of the moisture that you have put into the soil. Don't think about moving them too soon, let them mature and see if they handle the conditions better. My roses are in full sun in a very open garden, and we get some very hot days in summer here in southern NSW. Some varieties seem to be able to handle the heat, others fry on the first hot day. Usually our first hot days are late October, early November, just when the roses are in all their glory. I always pray that the hot spell will come a little later and allow the roses to flower longer. As someone said above, the spring growth is soft and not able to handle the early heat. Don't be disillusioned, be patient and coddle your youngsters a little longer.

My Speed Queen is a top loader. It is a 3.3 cu ft. My old one was a 3.4 so it is compatable with my dryer. I also considered that overload could be a factor. So I have done many different sized loads with the same result.
