Is it OK to vent dryer to the cold air return

I have just bought a condo on the second floor of a multi-story building. The laundry room is in the interior so I can vent to a wall or ceiling or floor. The previous owner did not have a washer dryer. I did find a hole in one wall that was wallpapered over and it appears that it has been used to vent a dryer before because I can see traces of lint. I really can't tell where it vents to it is simply a wet wall where the plumbing is. On the other wall is an access panel to the HVAC return. Is there any problem with cutting a hole into this panel and venting into that?
